Alabama Height Differences

On the topic of some of the height disparities for Michigan players at the combine, I brought up Alabama.
Bryce Young was the obvious one, but he wasn't the only one. My friend in scouting told me it has become a topic in his circle with how unreliable their numbers have been.
Here are a few of their top prospects;
QB Bryce Young: Roster 6 0 Actual 5 10 1/8
RB Jahmyr Gibbs: Roster 5 11 Actual 5 9
DT DJ Dale: Roster 6 3 Actual 6 1
LB Henry Too Too: Roster 6 2 Actual 6 1
They weren't all way wrong, Will Anderson was spot on for instance, but that's because he didn't need his height beefed up.

Another indication that UM has been on the right NIL path…

As unsatisfying as it sounds to all of us, UM‘s slow and conservative approach looks like it may have accurately predicted where this was all going. NCAA now warning universities they can’t actively fundraise on behalf of NIL entities, including providing seating priority points to NIL donors.

If you didn't see in the short video posted in an earlier thread with Jon Rothstein on CBS regarding Michigan and its chances of getting into the tournament, don't worry, I replay the video and audio at the begining of this pod. Couple of trends in college football are discussed today. Going for it on 4th down and and going for it on 4th down when a team is in field goal range. I looked at UM LB target Aaron Chiles high school website and found some NFL players that went to his school.

Insider Some spring rumblings on two freshmen defensive players...

Things are slow at the moment, with the program having the week off and only a handful of practices under its belt, things will be full swing next week.

However, I was able to pick up a few odds and ends about how the program feels about two freshmen defensive players as an overall big-picture look plus a very small sample size of spring practice.

Early enrollees Cameron Calhoun and Jyaire Hill are viewed as the future pairing of the defensive backfield for the Wolverines moving forward. One source in particular view the future of both Hill and Calhoun highly with one source saying that Hill has 'future pro written all over him.' Calhoun's ceiling is also extremely high but the obvious feedback I have been getting is that he needs to hit the weight room to find his strength, which is mostly the case for any freshman coming into the college game so I won't consider that a slight against him by any means.

The overall message is that the program believes it's in 'good hands' with the two in the future. Just how immediate is that future? Who knows. A long way to go until fall.

Sorry. Juwan is NOT good

At coaching. Period. Latest proof ? Telling Dug to miss the second FT. Why ???? He makes it we try to steal in bound and if not foul. At worse we down three. Instead IU has three tall guys in and we play In to their hands. We don’t come close to the rebound. Now if they hit both FTs game
Over ! Instead we get bailed out. He misses BOTH and the Kobe loses his mind ! And with four seconds left from
Under his own basket he think he has time to pass after a few dribbles ! And he passes in to the back of Hunter. Because just like Jett. He didn’t want the last shot. Ugh. This season. Ugh

Recruiting Class of 2024 WR Jordan Shipp will be back in Ann Arbor 'very soon'

"From the coaches, to the players, to the fans and even to the recruiting staff, they all show lots of love and it's all genuine.”

Four-star Providence Day WR Jordan Shipp, who says he will be back for a Michigan visit soon, details why Michigan made his top 8 and more:
