This week is set to be a big one in terms of prospects Michigan football will be hosting on campus leading into this weekend.

There seems to be a lot of mixed information out there on Iowa center Owen Freeman, who has entered the transfer portal with a do not contact tag.

Some believe Michigan and Gonzaga are the front runners to land his services, with the Wolverines potentially leading, thanks to NIL.
A source I spoke to at Iowa mentioned Creighton and Illinois as options. Freeman is originally from Illinois and was recruited by his home program during high school.
Also, I have heard Calipari and Arkansas should not be counted out, especially if this is a NIL battle.

Michigan will need to replace Vlad Goldin next season, and Freeman could be an option for a scoring big man that can also make an impact on the boards.

I will update with any more concrete info as we get it.

Michigan has an opportunity to cap off a memorable weekend today against Wisconsin. The 3-seed and 5-seed will meet in the Big Ten Tournament championship game.

Wisconsin is a 3.5-point favorite. ESPN's FPI gives Michigan a 40.2% chance to win.

The Badgers will be playing their fourth game in four days, while Michigan is on its third game in as many days.

Tip-off is scheduled for just after 3:30 p.m. on CBS.

Michigan will look to build off the momentum it established in last night's win over Purdue. The Wolverines (23-9) will take on Maryland (25-7) in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal at 3:30 p.m. ET.

This is a rematch of last Wednesday's game, when the Terrapins beat the Wolverines, 71-65. Michigan did not score a field goal in the last 6:02 of that game.

Maryland is a 4.5-point favorite, according to ESPN. Michigan has a 35.6 percent chance of winning, according to ESPN's FPI.

Tip-off is scheduled for just after 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
