OT: This is the best Lions Team You've Ever Seen

Pretty historic night at Ford Field Tonight:
  • 11-straight wins is a new franchise record
    • Franchise record-long streak set in 1934 with 10 straight.
  • Clinched a playoff spot three weeks before Christmas
  • Made the playoff back-to-back years for the first time since 94-95
  • Tonight's win was the 12th win of the season, which ties a franchise high (2023, 1991)
Unreal. Just absolutely unreal performance by Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes. Happy for OnePride, and the city.

OT: what are we listening to?

Music was a big part of my life growing up. My stepdad was a massive audiophile; our living room had two 6ft tall by 3ft wide speakers that looked like room dividers and pre-amps that looked like end tables. We catalogued his LP collection when he passed and stopped counting at over 10,000.

My music tastes are all over the place. Nas, 2Pac, Run the Jewels, Foo Fighters, Sturgill Simpson, Daft Punk, The Eagles, Bob Seger, Metallica, Frank Sinatra, Motown, you get the idea.

So what are we listening to on those long drives, work outs, or just in general?

I can't say it enough... Thank you!

I just want to say, again, thank you to all who have given me the patience and grace to do what I need to do to get back on track with work. I've been feeling a bit guilty because I feel like I have been so far behind and that isn't fair to you guys but the team has done such a great job carrying me lately, it has given me every opportunity to get back on track.

I admit I have been struggling to get back into the swing of things but I have been having a few good days and feel like I am finally getting caught up. Still need content though. I've been having a very unhealthy relationship with work lately, obsessing over numbers, content, intel, etc that I've lost my way a little bit. I am working to find a better balance. One day at a time.

I cannot thank you all enough for being here which allows me to do what I love and achieve my dreams every single day.

Onward!

Assuming one more win - which Bowl game would you like to see Michigan in this year?

Three different predictions on our Bowl game with a win over Northwestern and loss to OSU

Sports Illustrated: Michigan vs. Toledo, Detroit Bowl (Dec. 26) - Detroit, MI

CBS Sports: Michigan vs. Missouri, Music City Bowl (Dec. 30) - Nashville, TN

Athlon Sports: Michigan vs. Duke, Pinstripe Bowl (Dec. 28) - New York City (the Bronx), NY

Football Early Wink criticism was fair, he changed, it’s why he’s great

Wink Martindale faced harsh criticism to start the year, now Michigan fans are worried he’ll head back to the NFL.
Were critics wrong? Does Wink deserve an apology? Or are the adjustments he made what make him a great coach?

Football Players who must see the field for Michigan in 2025

Michigan did not get enough playing time for its young players in 2024.
It can not make the same mistake with these players in 2025, who are ready to contribute and should have even bigger roles in the future.

Penn State DC search, potential impact on Michigan.

With Tom Allen heading to Clemson, Penn State and James Franklin are looking for a new defensive coordinator for the second consecutive seasons.

Penn State sources say the search is currently focused on;
USC DC D'Anton Lynn
Browns assistant Ephraim Banda
Indiana DC Bryant Haines
Ohio State DC Jim Knowles

Knowles is viewed as the home run hire Franklin wants but getting him from Ohio State is viewed as unlikely.

Haines is a rising name after Indiana’s strong season, but he has been with Cignetti at every stop and would be a tough pull. But money talks.

Which brings us to Lynn. Michigan sources believe Lynn was the top choice to replace Jesse Minter last season, but with Harbaugh’s late departure, then Moore’s late hire, Lynn along with multiple other Ravens tree assistants already had new jobs. With Lincoln Riley on a hot seat, Lynn may be looking to leave USC after just one season.

With Wink Martindale interviewing for NFL DC openings, Lynn’s name has come up again as a potential top candidate in Ann Arbor.

Michigan’s top priority is keeping Wink Martindale. The fear of course is Wink going through the process, leaving, and Michigan again missing out on a candidate because of late timing.

We should know more about Wink’s level of interest in these openings, their interest in him, and potentially him deciding to stay before decisions or made in the next few days. Until then, keep an eye on Penn State.
