Insider Intel: Injury notes heading into Rutgers

Picked up some injury notes on a couple of guys. As always, won't get specific on what the exact injury is so I am always purposely vague for that reason.

This is what we've picked up.

- After talking to some folks, it would be a pleasant surprise if you see Amorion Walker this season. His injury he suffered in camp is lingering and is turning into a multi-week thing.
- Will Johnson is healthy enough to play but we're told his injury is of the 'nagging' type so it's something he will have to fight through but shouldn't be very detrimental to him long-term. Hurt, not injured.
- Makari Paige has been playing but we've yet to see Rod Moore, Moore continues to be a precautionary sit. I am told both are 'close' to full-go.

That's all I have for now. Will keep asking around.

Sorry to be Debbie downer but we have some real issues

I have been very concerned about our O line all season. First two games was run blocking and last night was pass blocking. also what the hell is up with edwards. ? I mean not running aggressively is one thing but blowing blocking assignments ? Special teams. always a strength. looks like a potential liability. Secondary will be fine I think when we have our starters in. and I like D line and LBs. We do not have a game breaking WR maybe outside of roman - where is Clemons ??? Morris looks solid but not a game breaker - then last night JJ was absolutely horrifying - I certainly hope that does not carry over and he needs his RBs and O Line to pick up their blocks and he needs his WRs AND TEs to run proper routes - speaking of TEs - Not impressive so far- AJ really goofed up his route that helped lead to JJs first pick which I think rattled him for rest of game
On top of that. I hate to break it to you but Rutgers looks much improved. esp on defense
Can we put this all back together ? Of course - and it seems clear that we badly missed game day Jim. maybe esp JJ last night where Harbs might have been able to calm him down. In retrospect maybe the 4 difft coach thing wasnt so great - esp on offense. No continuity
Pre season is over - everything is still in front of the boys. Everything is still there to win - But improvement needs to come and fast and no one knows it more then they do
Final comment - Chemistry Do they have it ? Like the 21 and 22 teams ? Hell like the 97 team ( I am reading Mountaintop right now - great read ). So much of a teams success is chemistry Even beyond talent. Do we have it ??? We shall soon see !
As always. Go Blue !

Deadline for Lee Aaliya to be eligible THIS semester is September 18

That's the Add/Drop Deadline.

Staff member mentioned the other day that he had not been admitted yet.

Not sure if that means he has all the paperwork and TOEFL and is waiting or is still working on getting the requisite TOEFL score.

Nevertheless, he is either a Michigan student on Monday or he's not.

If he is, he can play right away.

If he isn't, then he has to work towards getting enrolled for the winter semester and can start school and playing eligibility then.

The semester is starting the 4th week on Monday so the mystery will be forced to reveal itself.
