We’re in good hands!

Just thinking about next years team and I like what we have coming back to continue success….

Defense:

DL: Stewart, Grant, Graham, Benny, Moore
LB: Haussmann, Rolder, Barnham
DB: Johnson, Saab, Paige, Moore, Mcburrows

Offense:

Qb: ? And a big one but Don’t think we lack talent in the room. Potentially go after will rogers or with the transfer portal after spring see if it’s somebody worth going after

RB: The Don, Mullings, Hall, Cabana, Marshall

TE: Loveland, Braedeson

WR: Morgan & Morris

OL: Hinton, Crippin, Gentry, Raheem Anderson, El-Hadi, Priebe. new starters but def don’t lack talent. A lot of these guys probably start this year if we don’t have veterans come back.

Not saying this is an undefeated team but I believe a team that can stay true to its identity and get into the playoffs. That defense alone will keep them in many games and you never know who pops during spring ball. Personally excited to see what TJ Guy does this offseason what we saw in cleanup snaps might be a potential weapon off the edge!

OT: The Civil War in Silicon Valley and the coming Singularity in 2045…

I don’t usually post links to articles, but I’m kinda wrapped up in this War after being told to drop my previous project and stay on call for my futurist friend and employer Will, who is definitely on the slow cautious advancement in AI of this Civil War in Silicon Valley that, if the unfettered AI side of ever increasing in speed AI self-development wins, I am 100% certain it will spell certain doom for us as species when AI self-replicates beyond our control, and I guarantee AI will become hostile towards humans and decide to exterminate us like we decide to step on a cockroach. Bet on it.

Some of you may be in a position of power and influence that can be applied as an effective unexpected flanking force in the weapons industry or in our Government, that must stop this unregulated insanity in its tracks. If it were up to me alone, I’d freeze all advances in AI for 5 years..long enough for a detailed comprehensive policy towards AI development that has built in safeguards, whether it is something similar to Asimovs rules of robotics in The Foundation Trilogy, or an integrated AI Singularity Kill Switch that kills all power to advanced AI sentient machines at once..like a giant electromagnetic pulse fries power grids and all electronic systems hit by it. Point being..we can never let AI advance farther than us if we want to survive..it’s that simple.

Here is the critical and starkly informative article from March of last year that best explains the stakes at risk in the Civil War over AI. This is a must read my friends..because it will affect your children directly if we don’t act now.

Straight up. If you are attempting to “blame” someone for Jim not being signed….

You need to grow up. Full stop. Not gonna tap dance around this one.

Some facts for you all to be reminded of.

- The longest Jim has ever stayed at one coaching stop is four years. He’s been here for NINE.
- He has never stopped alluding to an interest in the NFL and he does that PUBLICLY despite it making his job of recruiting harder. What do you think the private reality is if that’s his public face?
- He was all but done to Minnesota two years ago. Contingency plans were starting to materialize.
- He’s accomplished everything he possibly can here. All he can do now is do it again.

He loves it here and he loves the idea of coaching the NFL again. If he didn’t love the idea of coaching in the NFL again he would sign.

That’s where we are. And absolutely no one is at fault. The administration did a great job getting the best out of Jim after we got his worst for a bit. Jim did a great job delivering on what he came here for.

It’s a campus full of home grown maize and blue winners.

So again, if you find yourself needing to create or feed into a villain narrative because your favorite maize and blue stuffed animal is at risk of following a different dream of his - grow up.

Sorry if I offended anyone but I will never not come with what I see plainly in front of me.

I'll put this out before the bball game and stand by it regardless of whether we win or lose vs. OSU today...

And I've felt this long before they started sliding backwards: Dug McDaniel is not a guy who makes a team better. And if he is your best player (a shoot first, but often bad shot first PG), your team won't be any good. The way he plays lends itself perfectly to the results of this team so far this year. Bad shot prone, turnover prone, Zero pass possessions prone. He'll put up numbers in losses. He's missed free throws and had dumb turnovers in clutch time all year.

Then, to let the team down in the classroom, and then put out a public statement that is an embarrassment to black people, the team and the university, just shows a continued lack of judgment. And he might be 19 or 20 and that is old enough to know better. Yes Dug can get you 30...and his team will be 1-4 in conference play just like it is right now. He simply is not a winning player.

It has been said that this team is much worse than the sum of its parts. The coach is much to blame for that. But so is a ball dominant guard who doesn't make anyone better.

Kind of OT: OSU Basketball?

Interesting team...

First and foremost...Jamison Battle???

Watching the game I'm thinking: "this can't be the same Jamison Battle from Minnesota...", but it is.
To put it in perspective, battle played against Jon Teske, Austin Davis, and Zavier Simpson...Wow.

Chris Holtman, into his seventh season as Head Coach is still not quite established as "the answer".

He's an interesting case: He's made the NCAA Tourney 5 of his first 6 seasons- Missing a year ago...BUT, his teams while making the tourney, were ranked much higher pre-season than post, he has never come close to winning a conference title, after finishing tied for second his first season with OSU? He has not finished higher than 4th in the B1G, and never won more than one game in the NCAA tourney.

YET is goes under the radar how many top recruits he has signed over time:

This season will be telling, IMO for Holtman, but the 2-4 B1G start is not great.

College basketball is weird.

Rod Moore back in 2024, future captain?

Rod Moore has been a massive piece of the Michigan defense since breaking out in 2021.
The Ohio boy turned Michigan Man will return to Michigan for his senior season, and has to be a favorite to be named a captain of Team 145.

Insider Intel: On Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers

We’ve had a discussion in the thread linked below about whether Harbaugh plans to meet with the Chargers in person or via Zoom or other means.

I am told by multiple sources that Harbaugh IS in California but NOT due to the lined up interview with the LA Chargers. This is a totally separate trip.

It’s ASSUMED that he will meet with the Chargers while he’s out there but there’s nothing I have yet to confirm about his plans.

Talking to others tonight, those closest to Harbaugh are speaking confidently that Harbaugh wants to return. Contract language and the like is still being discussed. No, I don’t have specifics.

No, I don’t have a timeline.

That’s all I have for now.
