Can we have a talk?

Alright, I don't want to have to do this a bunch, but it needs to be said. Hopefully, only this once, and hopefully, you understand where I am coming from.

I appreciated @buttaball post the other day about respect for Josh and I. We've given everyone a long leash because we understand how Harbaugh leaving can get people fired up. The point of this board is for like minded Michigan fans to be able to come in, talk, share ideas, and sometimes frustrations.

But the constant negativity is getting out of hand. We are bringing intel, and we are going to have more and more to continue to bring. We can't have every thread getting hijacked with, frankly, bullshit because people are up in their emotions. Blatantly ignoring things Josh is saying to instead get mad at the imaginative scenario they have created in their head. Or the cross-posting of information that has gotten way out of hand.

You all built this community, and we are so proud of it. I am not asking you to be sunshine blowers; I am not asking you not to post opinions, but we can not allow the constant complaining to drown out the actual information we are trying to share with you all.

If I have to do warnings and bans to ensure the vast majority in this community get the experience they expected when they paid to sign up here, I will. And if you've received bans or warnings for this before, consider this a final warning.

If this is confusing, feel free to ask questions. I hope everyone understands where I am coming from. We have never drawn a line in the sand, and we are willing to let people play in the gray, especially during tense times like this, but some of this has trended way past the edges of gray.

This place means a lot to me. The trust Josh and all of you have put into me means a lot to me. This place is a community bigger than any one person.

Insider Intel: What's going on with Mike Hart? (7:00 p.m. Update)

7:00 p.m. Update:

Now I have a small number of folks saying that Mike Hart will be on the staff unless he gets an NFL offer. One side believes he's definitely out, the other thinks he's back. This is the way things go sometimes. I will say, those who think he's out far outweigh those who think he stays.

We'll find out one way or the other soon enough. This is the way things go and I wanted to be transparent about what I'm hearing.`

At face value, not being at Sherrone's press conference today and taking his job off Twitter doesn't necessarily scream to me that someone is staying but we will see.
______

I am unaware if the players have been informed but we have been told by reliable sources that Mike Hart is 'out' and won't be part of Sherrone Moore's new staff.

He was not at Moore's press conference today and he hasn't been seen recently, on top of him scrubbing his Twitter bio of any reference to working for U-M.

I don't want to get into specifics or anything but there is a reason for this and it's NOT Michigan 'screwing' him out of a job. As far as I'm aware, it's not anything going on with him specifically (health reasons, for example), either. Since we're not TMZ and we don't play into rumor-mongering here, I'll leave it at that.

EPIC COLLAPSE

UM basketball worst and fastest collapse of a once proud program in school history...maybe any school.
Juwan = could be worst in game D-1 coach in the US. Pat Ewing presided over the previous biggest collapse at Georgetown. Juwan is giving him a run for his money. 20 games into a season and players are lost in space constantly. Nothing but isolation concepts, and YMCA style D at best. Offense: take the ball and try and create a shot for yourself, Defense: stand flat, don't rotate, always a step slow on shooters, caught watching, NO one connected. Many high school clubs are better fundamentally... 🙄

M hockey vs Wiscy tonight

Good Game last night as M got a 5-1 victory over #3 Wisconsin.

It was sort of an odd game as M was outshot, although I question whether some shots recorded were actually shots on net or headed wide but yet recorded as a SOG.
i also say it was odd, as neither team really seemed to carry the play in the other teams zone very much. You rarely saw 5 players inside the blue line on offense, with the exception of Michigan's power play. I would saw Wisconsin's, but M's penalty kill seemed to controlled play whenever M was shorthanded. The rest of the game was either end to end, missed passes, turnovers from close checking at center ice, or dump ins which were moved promptly out of the defensive zone. M seemed to keep Wisconsin on the outside not allowing many opportunities from the slot or in front of the net. Unlike the Sparty series, there wasn't a scrum after every stoppage in play. It made for a more enjoyable game, at least IMO.

Barczeski made some big saves and didn't let in any cheap goals as he does on ocassions, most recently last week vs Sparty at Yost. Meanwhile Wiscy's goalie wasn't as sharp, although M had a few sniper shots, including one one timer by Nazar i the top corner. One other thing. Brindley returned after being out last Saturday.

Have to commend the broadcast on BTN+. As some of you know, the broadcast is put on by students fromthe respective home schools, in this case Michigan. It's a group of student who sometime would hope to enter the broadcasting field or at least are trying to see if they like it. I thought the play by play was very well done yesterday. Not many lulls in the action and they seemed prepared in that they knew the names of some of the opponents team. It makes it more enjoyable as a viewer.

As for tonight.. the game is at 7PM and on BTN+ plus again. let's hope M can shake this one good game followed by one no so good one. I'm sure Wiscy will do everything it can not to get swept in this series. With MSU beating Minnesota yesterday, They gained some breathing room over second place Wisconsin (7 points up although they played 2 more games than Wiscy.) M is in 5th, 5 points behind Minnesota, although M has played two less games. That ground can be made up if you win them. Beating Wisconsin again, should help M's pairwise ranking, currently at 12. That is important as the top 16 or so generally make the NCAA playoffs, although you never want to be the 15th, 16th or 17th team, as you are strictly on the bubble an could miss out.

Plenty of hockey left this season , although there are only 5 weekends left after tonight before the BTT and NCAA's.

Need to get a behind the scenes agreement from Howard to resign

This has to be in the works (maybe is) after manuel finally made public comments about basketball.

We were having a big roster turnover anyway.

That likely means Dug is gone (I think he was anyway) and a good chance on reed.

Next year had a chance to be even rougher than this WITH THEM, so at least you give a new guy a chance to start rebuilding this mess that he's been left with.

It just didn't work out. There's no excuse to be this bad. Not nil and not admissions.

The coaching staff didn't properly vet love and spent one and a half key prime months of the portal doing nothing while it waited on HOPING love got in. Martelli admitted it in May (why he had to answer for that and not Howard is another issue).

Please for the love of god, make this end.

Warde Opens up On Harbaugh

To me the kicker line:

While Michigan looks forward, Manuel left one parting comment about his relationship with Harbaugh — “I love the man.”

“I’m telling you guys — you can read social media (if you want),” the Michigan athletic director said. “He means a lot to me. He was the captain my freshman year. He was our coach. And I’m going to miss him.”

Warde haters - don’t trust everything you read and allow it to brainwash you.

That’s a tough freaking job and no one really knows what goes on behind the scenes fully.
