Just finished watching IMG vs Oakhill Academy play and Christian Anderson dropped 24pts, 8asst, 6rebs and some dazzling plays vs Acuff Jr who didn’t disappoint he led all scorers with 26.

Anderson is gonna be a problem for Dug, dude is calm and reminds me of Trey and also in the game was Rooths who showed a nice 3 and attacked the rim with authority hood player great defense.

Sean Magee returns to Michigan, hired as General Manager

With Sherrone Moore's plan to expand recruiting and focus on NIL, he wanted a General Manager.
Moore has turned to a familiar name by hiring Sean Magee.
Magee's experience, familiarity with Michigan, and existing relationships make him a unique fit.

Recruiting Analyzing how staff changes impacts Michigan football on recruiting trail

Michigan football is currently in a transition period with Sherrone Moore at the helm and having to fill multiple positions on the staff.

Breaking down the impact of what some of the changes mean on the recruiting trail for the Wolverines:

(Wrote this before the Clink departure)

Insider On Michigan’s GM search…

Some early talk had listed Kansas’ Robert Ianello as a candidate for the position.

However, after talking to some folks, Ianello has yet to be contacted by anyone at Michigan. Maybe it does happen in the future but, as of this posting, he hasn’t yet and that info was confirmed as of this evening.

I haven’t heard any other names mentioned so far alongside ISU’s Derek Hoodjer, which I haven’t heard anything new there either.

Will continue to dig on it.

Insider On Steve Clinkscale…

As of this evening/morning, we have been told that Steve Clinkscale has informed players and staff that he is remaining at Michigan. As we reported earlier, Clinkscale will NOT lose his co-DC title regardless of who is named at the spot. He will continue his role with the DBs, which I assume includes the safeties, at least right now.

We will be digging to get more info but it appears Michigan has weathered the storm.

Insider Intel: PM DL coach update…

After talking to some folks, I get the sense that Greg Scruggs from Wisconsin is the clear leader in the clubhouse to take the DL coach job at Michigan.

I don’t have a clear sense of timeline but there is a process that has to take place and I don’t suspect there will be a hiccup barring anything unforeseen.

I would not be surprised if word in some official capacity will come out sometime this coming week.

There are no other clear candidates we are aware of at the moment.

Insider Intel: Quick note on Justin Tress, S&C program

Checked around to see what the initial thoughts were regarding Justin Tress in his new role as director of the S&C program and, by all accounts, he is doing well in the role. Nothing has changed from a direction standpoint and it's clear that he was ready to take over despite some hesitation about his age.

"Staying the same"

"Doing well"

These were the two major takeaways.

Also, it's expected a 'couple' of other S&C coaches are heading to the Chargers as well but I did not get any names.

Insider Intel: Mike Elston postscript

With Mike Elston set to depart, it's becoming clear what the major factors were in his decision to depart Michigan.

Jim Harbaugh had been aggressive in his approach to Elston in trying to get him to Los Angeles with him, by offering him a 'significant' raise and selling the fact that he would not have to recruit and do the things CFB coaches have to do. He sold that point HARD and it must've been effective as it was something that Elston had thought about.

To be clear, Michigan's offer to Elston was just as significant, so it's not something where one deal was higher than the other. A shot at the NFL and the fact that he doesn't have to recruit was a major sell.

The same can be said for Clinkscale, too, who Harbaugh has been just as aggressive.

I'm not sure about the play-calling narrative and how it would've made a difference here as Elston and Clink would make lateral moves (for more money) if they both were to depart for LA.

Michigan expected to hire Wink Martindale as DC

Michigan keeps focus on maintaining its defensive scheme with the expected hire of Don "Wink" Martindale as its next defensive coordinator.

Insider Quick note on DL coach search...

I have confirmed that Sherrone Moore has yet to reach out to Terrance Jamison from Illinois for the role as of this posting. He was a name we heard floated around and included in the thread below

Four names at DL coach I’ve heard…

I get the sense if a conversation were to be struck up that there would absolutely be interest.
