OT: My cancer is back

Hi everyone. I recently found out my multiple myeloma cancer (cancer of the bone marrow) has returned after about a 6.5 year hiatus. The good news is the doctors caught it early and I think it will be treatable. I'll find out more after some additional testing this week. I assume I'll have to do chemo and a stem cell transplant (which is a very effective, but a pretty intense and painful treatment). I'm still both angry and sad. I think relapses are something I'll have to deal with the rest of my life and that makes me angry too. I feel like God and Jesus hate me.

Well, I just wanted to vent my frustrations. I'll battle for my wife and kids and kick cancer's ass! Any advice from doctors or multiple myeloma and myeloma survivors/caregivers on here would be greatly appreciated (thanks in advance). Heck, advice from anyone is appreciated...lol.

OT: Oberon

College years, it was a staple of this time of the year.

Nothing was better than St Pattys, March Madness, Baseball opening week, The Masters. Felt like we partied for three weeks straight. My buddy's birthday was always in the middle of all that and he always got an Oberon keg. It was the kick off to summer in so many ways.

Felt like the beer hadn't been as good in recent years, blame the mass production now that they are owned by a bigger company. Tended to just grab Blue Moon instead. I picked up some Oberon with the release this week and man. It's so damn good. Now I'm getting a nostalgia hit from the younger years too. Nothing beats a great beer.

Spring standouts

Mason Curtis, Jimmy Rolder & Dom Nichols were made available today to the media.

Jim Rolder on a player that is impressive in spring so far: Marlin Klein

Mason Curtis on a player that has impressed him: Donoven Mcculley. Curtis is working at nickel.

Dom Nichols called Tre Williams and Damon Payne dogs. Seemed really impressed with Williams in particular.

Overheard in the press area; The UM DB’s have struggled so far this spring.

Speculation: With Big Ten media days being held this year in Las Vegas expect a future Big Ten title game to be announced to Vegas and then to SoFi in LA.

Why is Donaldson leaving and Cadeau coming? . . .

One theory . . . Dusty is trying to improve the length and athleticism of the team.

It was nice having the twin towers of Goldin and Wolf this year but other than those guys, we were a bit on the shorter size. Donaldson (despite being listed on the roster as 6'3" is probably 6'0" at best). Having 4 guys at 6'5" and under at the wing positions is playing somewhat undersized. Tschetter at 6'7" with subpar length and explosiveness is playing undersized.

With Wolf and Goldin likely gone, we need to improve the length and athleticism at the other positions to be able to be more effective on defense and on the boards.

Replacing Donaldson with Cadeau makes us bigger (Cason is a legit 6'2" and plays bigger than Donaldson).

I think we're going to see a lot more turnover/additions still.

Hail to the Podcast TONIGHT

You know better than anyone that we have each had a run of things in our lives that have derailed the podcast for a bit now.
We are excited to be back tonight and hopefully back in the regular routine moving forward.

No doubt, we lost a lot of the momentum we gained in terms of viewership and exposure for the pod. We could use your help.
If you like the show, let friends know about it, post on social media. Help us spread the word. We were seeing some strong numbers for awhile there and in some ways we will be starting over with so much time off.

Please join us LIVE at 7pm tonight. We're going tobe going through the depth chart and sharing all the intel and thoughts we have. As always, you can be part of the conversation.
