Outstanding Michigan Quarterback room.

I’m impressed. My credentials are that I’ve been watching Michigan football since they beat I think Oregon State in the Rose Bowl back in the 60’s. I attended Michigan and also my daughter is a graduate. My favorite sports team in the world is the Michigan football team. I am very comfortable with the 2025 quarterback room going forward with Warren, Underwood , and Davis as our top 3. The key is not the talent of Underwood but Warren learned a lot this year and for him to be the starter great but if Underwood beats him out so much the better, we have a capable backup. As for Davis I literally pray he stays with the program he is talented but as with most freshmen he needs to work on fundamentals . I can easily see him as 2nd string in 2026. As for the portal now if I can figure all this out there is no doubt the people representing these kids transferring can figure it out as well so let’s just pass.

Key dates for Michigan Football's roster in 2025

Thanks @KevinWerner for the idea! Hope this is what you were looking for and the board finds it helpful.

The college football landscape has changed, and keeping up is tough. Here is a breakdown of key dates and rule changes for Michigan Football in 2025 for recruiting, transfer portal, roster limits, and more. From now until the opening kickoff.

What WR's are we going after in the portal? . . .

IMO, that seems like the biggest position of need . . . followed by offensive line.

If we could put together a strong wide receiving corp. and some linemen with experience to add to our young guys, I wouldn't feel terrible about going into next season with Warren and Underwood.

I think Warren looked worse in the passing game than he was because he were lacking players around him.

OT - New court ruling on JUCO players retaining 4 years eligibility and how this could possibly play out

So this happened yesterday:

https://sports.yahoo.com/diego-pavi...5IPCBeT9LK_bE93lePAiRwv5Ko5nl_JQU1zlwt5gRoMfN

Diego Pavia successfully argued that his 2 years in JUCO should not count as 2 years of NCAA eligibility and won an injunction. The question now is, does JUCO become more of a minor league to some big P4 programs. A program can now potentially stash a kid at JUCO for two years and allow them to develop. They then take a transfer freshman who is 20 years old and has 2 years of experience and can play until they are 24 or 25. Now, that affects kids who are going to play in the NFL on the back end so a player that has designs on getting to the NFL isn't going to want that route, but others might. This is may or may not be of help to Michigan due to transfer credit issues, but it will be interesting to watch how this plays out.

USC RB Quinten Joyner commits to Texas Tech...

Texas Tech is on an absolute heater in the portal right now. They landed pretty much everyone they were after. Ohio State was the perceived favorite for a while, so this is a loss for them.

This likely means they'll increase their efforts for Justice Haynes and try to get him on campus. A visit was a maybe, but this could turn into a possibility. Haynes' visit to Michigan is this weekend, 21-23.

We'll have to wait and see how things develop coming out of the weekend.

It's Good News Wednesday! 12-18-24

My good news is we get to play one more game. My expectations are low, but I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of the young guys play. To me, this is the first scrimmage of next season. This game doesn't mean a lot in the scheme of things. We have nothing to lose, so maybe they will pull out all the stops.

All the shopping is done. All the gifts are wrapped, and the stockings are hung by the chimney with care.

One week from Christmas, I pray you all have a blessed and Merry Christmas!

What's your good news?

Dequan Finn??

What’s the scoop on Finn? He had tremendous success at Toledo, including a conference championship and several conference and game MVP honors. In three seasons Finn has passed for 7,377 yards, 66 TDs and a 143.9 QB rating. He added another 1,927 yards and 27 TDs rushing.

After transferring to Baylor he suffered a season-ending injury in his third game, then applied for and was granted a medical redshirt year. Now he’s back in the Portal a second time.

He’s a Detroit kid (King HS). What’s missing from this story?
