Reminder: Ryan Day Hired a PI Who “Investigated” Michigan’s Sign-Stealing “Operation” and Dropped a Dime to the NCAA

There’s been no actual refutation by anybody of the contents of this report. And it’s not necessarily surprising that the matter wasn’t (perhaps) addressed in either the NCAA’s Notice of Allegations, nor Michigan’s response to same.

Geez, any other BTN BB team?

Does this away , home, away, home schedule? yea 3 last 4 are home but not to have a 2/3 game home stand
at this time of season seems strange. there young but its got to be hard on them with classes , practice, traveling
every other game. Maybe that's the problem with the lack of zip in their game. At home vs Penn State they looked slow
yet watching Penn State vs OSU they looked slow. Then I may not know BB that well.

Haaa Bielema takes a shot at Harbaugh after Michigan response

I know it doesn't mean much but the National Rivals guys are predicting an epic 26 class...

They are running a series of articles predicting where the top 2026 uncommitted prospects will land. So far they have Michigan to land:

  • QB - Brady Smigel - 5 star, #13 overall, #3 PQB
  • RB - Savion Hiter - 4 star, #36 overall, #2 RB
  • WR - CJ Sadler - 4 star #41 overall, #6 WR
I'm curious to see what they have to say about TE and the OL as Michigan seems to be out front for a lot of top players. It's interesting that from a recruiting standpoint Michigan seems to have more early traction with offensive players vs. defensive guys. That said adding the three players above would be a great start to the 26 group. Here's hoping for the best.

Insider River Rouge HS working to add another Belleville coach

A source has informed me that former Belleville head coach, now River Rouge head coach, Jermain Crowell is expected to add DeJuan Rogers to his staff.

Rogers took over for Crowell on interim basis when he was suspended and ultimately let go by Belleville, winning a State championship. Rogers was promoted to full-time head coach but took a DB coach job at Tiffin. Last season, he was on the sidelines with Belleville during their playoff run. Rogers was obviously close with Michigan signees Bryce Underwood and Elijah Dotson.

River Rouge is looking to build a powerhouse in Detroit, and with the relationship with Michigan on a much better level, it will be program to watch moving forward.

Jon Jansen interviews Jarrett Irons on In the Trenches. Worth a listen for the old timers...

My favorite Michigan player ever. Dominated from the inside linebacker position. The team had slight rut with no Big Ten titles during his time so his legend isn't what it would be if they had but he was something special. 2 time captain.

I was in Evanston in 1995 for a game that is extremely underrated all time. In Pat Fitzgerald and Jarrett it was an inside linebacker clinic. Fitzgerald was the 1995 and 1996 player of year but I thought Irons was better (both were great).

1995 was Northwestern's magical run and one of the biggest comebacks in the sports history, they had been brutal forever and ended up in the rose bowl. I don't think they get there if Irons doesn't hurt his ankle and miss the 4th quarter in evanston in 1995 allowing an NU comeback win.

Anyways, great player and seems like a great guy. An awesome listen on the In The Trenches podcast.
