There were scrubs out there in order to trash the Ath Dept said

That the only reason that Michigan football got the National Championship season across the finish line was ALL BECAUSE OF SANTA ONO!! And in spite of an “incompetent” athletic department. Hmmmm…

Ono was not even good enough at his own job to keep it. And then when he tried to bounce because he was failing, failed at Florida where he tried to bounce to.

So nuts to the people who constantly dump on our athletic department. Ono was trash.

And wow, our NIL is pretty good. Be careful of who you trust to listen to who seem to have agendas about why they gratuitously hate on Michigan lawyers and administrators. These people don’t know S about some things they will double down on.

House settlement with NCAA approved, schools can now pay players

My biggest takeaways.
That's a lot of money the NCAA needs to pay in back damages, they are going to get "creative" with creating new revenue which is not going to be great for college sports.
The roster limits are in place, but players can be grandfathered in, whole thing seems murky. Probably means the 105 number is irrelevant for the next few years, similar to the Covid exemption.
Revenue share cap, NIL clearinghouse, lawsuits are coming.

OT: Amazon help - Coloring Book

Hi there-

I’m a product photographer who lives in Los Angeles and reads the den everyday religiously. You may have seen I posted like this on the fort as well (sorry). In an attempt to make a little extra money I decided to make a coloring book to sell on Amazon! The higher my rating, the better the chances are people will buy it so I figured I’d try and ask some of the community here to help me out with some 5-star reviews and potential purchases!

I don’t believe you need to buy the coloring book to leave a 5-star review but it would really help me out to get those good ratings! If you have a minute, I’d really appreciate all the help I could get. Thank you in advance and sorry for the spamming!

Additionally if any of you are interested in doing this for yourself - please let me know I would love to show you how I did it. You can use photoshop or canva. I’m already working on making one that’s Michigan football and basketball related!!!!

⚠️ Trigger Warning: New HBO Documentary Details Sexual Abuse Scandal at OSU

Trigger Warning: This content contains references to sexual abuse, which may be distressing or triggering for some readers. Please proceed with care and prioritize your well-being.

Produced by George Clooney and directed by Academy Award-winner Eva Orner, Surviving Ohio State delves into the sexual abuse scandal surrounding athletics doctor Richard Strauss, whose two-decade tenure at Ohio State University saw the abuse of hundreds of students. Several lawsuits filed by survivors are still pending, including accusations that the university ignored the actions of Strauss and allowed them to continue. In her poignant examination, Orner utilizes compelling interviews with survivors to shed light on the extensive trauma inflicted and the systemic failures that allowed such misconduct to persist. By meticulously revealing the details of a 2019 investigative report conducted by the university, which brought about payment of over $60 million to victims, she not only brings crucial attention to a dark chapter in collegiate athletics, but also sparks essential dialogue regarding the urgent call for greater protections for students within educational institutions.

Recruiting INTEL: Leo Delaney

Login to view embedded media After receiving intel from his camp today that confirmed intel from sources received earlier in the week, I've submitted a FutureCast for Leo Delaney to commit to somewhere other than Michigan.

I'll give you guys one hint in regards to which school I've submitted the FutureCast for: Delaney will not be allowed to take a U-M official visit 👀

Recruiting UPDATE: Bear McWhorter commits to Michigan

The vibes around 2026 OL Bear McWhorter's upcoming commitment are interesting this morning.
A few people I have spoken to believe Michigan will be the pick. It has been an uphill battle for the Wolverines, as McWhorter grew up an Alabama fan and has family ties, but Michigan has done a great job in this recruitment. I spoke to a Bama insider who said they still believe they will be the pick, but don't believe the staff has been told.

We'll obviously monitor this all morning until he commits at noon.

UPDATE: OT: Blackstone Pro vs standard

I currently have a Blackstone 28 inch with air fryers. I am not too impressed with air fryers, but use my Blackstone 2 to 4 times a week. I am looking at getting a 36 inch for more cooking space. The 36 also has 4 burners for more heat control than the 2 with my 28. I am trying to decide between the Pro and the standard. I like the cabinets with the Pro, but wanted to know if anyone was familiar with the quality of the cabinets or the design quality difference of the burners etc. Any input would be appreciated.

It's Good News Wednesday! 6-4-25

My good news is that the Tigers have the best record in baseball. It could be our year.

My wife is a blessing to me, and I don't say it to her enough. I'm going to change that.

Thirty years ago, I tore a pectoral tendon while lifting weights. Up until about eight months ago, I never really tested the injured area seriously. I worked out, but was always afraid to go as hard as I used to. I think I had just convinced myself that it was okay because I was getting older. The problem with that kind of thinking was that the more health books I read, the more they emphasized strength and balance as we age.

Eight months ago, I decided to go on a slow and steady journey to improve both. Today, I was able to lift more than I have in thirty years, and I did it pain-free. My flexibility and balance have also improved.

I will never be able to lift like I did when I was 30, but I never thought I would see the gains I have been able to accomplish in the last 6 months. Now, I need to stay with it for the rest of my life.

What's your good news?

Recruiting READ: Michigan Made an Impression with Weekend Official Visitors

Article from yesterday: https://michigan.rivals.com/news/intel-michigan-made-an-impression-with-weekend-official-visitors

While I wrote that whole article discussing the positives of Michigan's official visitors on the weekend, I'm not sure that much came out of it. I don't think that the vibes on campus were massively positive, to be completely honest, and I don't think the staff made much of an impact on any recruits outside of Zion Robinson, Brady Marchese, and, somewhat, Davon Benjamin.

I think Toodle ends up in the SEC, Simeon commits to either Penn State or Ohio State, and Tanner commits to either Oregon or BYU.

Apologies about the lack of content over the last week - I've been unwell with the flu, slammed with assessments, and, frankly, there hasn't been that much intel worth posting.

Update on On3 transition

The final determination is in. We are staying SEPARATE. Officially official.

I’m really excited to see how the M&BR brand will grow with resources we’ve never had. I know my guys are reinvigorated and energized to kick some ass moving forward.

As for what’s next, everything remains status quo until things get switched over in a few weeks. July 1 is tentative for the switch.

I have received questions about subscriptions for dual subscribers. It appears that subscriptions will remain separate as well. There is still some logistical things to work out but, at the very least, you will have access to both sites to some level. If you stick with us, you will have read-only access to everything on the On3 network, which includes The Wolverine.

What this means is if you want to post here, you’ll have to subscribe which also quells some fears about the overall tenor of our community as we continue to grow.

I can assure you, maintaining a great community is equal parts posters and us moderating the community and never changing who you are. You have my word I will be the same me with 5k subscribers as I would be with 50k. That’s not changing. It’s going to take a group effort to keep things going and I am certainly going to continue doing my part.

Things continue to develop and I know it’s been a little bit without an update.

I apologize if it seems like I have been a bit MIA. I am working hard behind the scenes and trying to navigate all of this has been priority number one. I also want to give my guys some time to shine. Their voices deserve to be heard and my word shouldn’t be gospel here, they’ve worked just as hard to build up legitimate sources to provide legitimate intel for you all. We’re a team and always will be.

Appreciate you all. YOU are the reason I’m able to live this dream, and continue living it with a new home, every single day. Onward!

Insider On Sean Magee…

Was asked about what’s going on with Sean Magee and Navy’s open AD job.

Things have been a bit quiet there so I sent a few messages out to see what’s going on.

From two sources, we’re told that Magee is “still in the mix” for the open position. The second source went as far as saying that he was offered the job. I cannot confirm the offer but can confirm he remains in the mix.

This process is moving painfully slow at the moment. I didn’t even consider the Navy being part of the government but it is, which could explain why this is crawling.

Don’t have a good read on which direction this is headed but cannot deny how much the Academy means to Magee. It would be impossibly hard to turn down if the offer stands.

I’ll try and see if I can get further updates.
