Suprised at the apparent lack of concern of the new Big Ten (18) structure.

I've never seen a more idiotic league structure. In fact I've never seen close.

It is apparent that a fair, level playing field in terms of schedule didn't even make the priority list.

Every youth sports league commissioner in the country has the task of setting up a league with a structure that has a fair and competition for the championship.

The Big Ten clearly didn't care to do so.

18 teams. Everyone plays 9, doesn't play 8....EIGHT. Half the league has four home games, half the league has five.

This is beyond pathetic. Chasing a league title matters for the kids and the fans. The manner of doing so should be balanced and logical.

These morons just largely ruined The Big Ten Football Championship.

Go three divisions, play everyone in your division and cross over against one other rotating the cross over division, at least then each team chasing a division title will have 80/90% similar schedule.

Then take three champs and a wild card and go semi final, final. Its not hard to make a fair competitive structure.

This is a complete mess valuing nothing other than TV revenue.

Now the ncaa is changing the rules on coach suspensions

If this nonsense is gonna continue to target us, you better get Fox to throw their weight around since we can't cancel the texas game.

That stupid game stayed because it helped texas go to the sec a year early.

Better have the executives make sure Harbaugh is not suspended for this "marquee" game that TV wanted so bad.

Insider Intel: What we’re hearing on the Jim Harbaugh contract situation

Did some digging, A LOT of it, to see what I can find out about the Jim Harbaugh contract situation.

I had referred to some vague Twitter rumors about an update coming on Harbaugh’s contract details and was able to get a bit of a clearer picture but not the whole thing.

Here’s what I know.

I was already confident that the contract will get done, I am walking away from my discussions today feeling even better it’s going to get done.

Those at Michigan are “not worried” about the process and the expectation right now is that it’s going to get done. The not worried in quotations is the exact verbiage used by those with knowledge of the situation. There are rumors we could hear news as soon as Friday but I haven’t been able to verify those independently yet. If it’s not this week, I might be able to get a clearer picture.

Either way, feeling VERY good about Harbaugh signing this deal. I’ve been saying soon a lot but it sure feels like this will be all wrapped up soon.

OT: Tuckers and Tracy’s Assistants to testify/ some discrepancies in

Their versions of events versus his testimony or statements particularly around the cancellation of her second visit after she rejected his advances and his “pleasuring” phone call

Insider Quick note on 2024 scheduling... (8:25 pm update)

Want to reiterate that this is NOT final but the Big Ten appears to have sent what the initial 2024 schedules look like, or at the very least a rough draft of what it COULD look like next year.

As for key opponents, I am told that what was sent to Michigan had the following for opponents: MSU, OSU, USC, Oregon, Washington and Texas

Again, NOT final and by no means set in stone but it's a starting point. Loaded, loaded schedule.

8:25 pm update: Per those I have spoken with, USC, Oregon, MSU and Texas at home. Washington, OSU away.
