Simple PSA: For those who post on The Main Board

For those who post on The Main Board, which is our national board, just know your behavior is directly reflected on your status for posting here.

I had someone send me a screenshot tonight from (thank you for showing me) a frequent poster here spewing some absolutely abhorrently racist things on a thread. Needless to say, that poster will never be allowed to show their face here again.

What you say reflects directly on us and what we’re building here and that type of dialogue and behavior will NEVER be something that we stand for or promote. That’s here, The Main Board or any of the other sites on our network.

One person doesn’t reflect on an entire community, of course, but we are trying our best to clean things up and make it a place for ALL and not promote hate.

It’s sad that I even have to acknowledge something like this but, here we are.

Thank you for your understanding and thank you for being here.

My support for Orji so some can get off my back

My god the arrows for supporting a young man on our team are sharp and frequent. Let me tell you why. At the start of camp with Tuttle being hurt he was the only one I saw who could improve that could beat Oregon and OSU. His style of play was what we needed but he has not improved and its obvious Alex needs to take advice I know he has been given and change positions. Mike S is the example of what you can do by changing positions.

Now why was I pulling for Alex was very simple. I had the opportunity last year in Indy to meet Alex and his family. For all those who say he is not smart enough to read a defense your completely wrong. This kid is a really bright well spoken young man. He has a bright future in this world regardless if football works out or not. He gave my nephew an autograph after we talked and the conversation was longer than I thought he would want to have. Alex just kept talking. He was a great young man and a good representative of this program . Had the same experience with the Mullings family as well. Great people and cordial to all the fans. Those are the kids I will root for. I root for them because they are Michigan Wolverines. I root for our coaching staff because Jim Harbaugh said Sherrone Moore is the next guy. I have to believe Jim Harbaugh knows more about football than most of us combined. We are all disappointed in last nights game. I thought we had it. When DE slipped down on that cut I did feel the good lord may have had other plans. I look outside my office window at home and the sun is out over the lake and its going to be a great day. I get to watch my daughter compete for a state championship in swimming and I get to spend a Sunday with my family. Hopefully all of you can do something today to just decompress.

Now the idiot who went on the main board and spewed this racist hate. You have disparaged all of us Wolverines. I love Coach Moore I don't care what his skin color is. I also want to make changes on the staff. Nothing to do with race they are just not the coaches we need. So whoever this was I am glad your gone because you don't represent this board or this fan base. Your just a hateful racist POS.

For all those who are constantly complaining and negative posting I respect your rite to do so. I met a good friend on this board in Macdaddy disagreeing with that miserable prick ( just kidding Mac I love ya). We talked it out and now we are very good friends. It's fine to be negative but understand these are 17-22 kids. Your life did not change because we lost to Washington or anyone else this year. So send the arrows my way I am happy to take them. We will beat Illinois in two weeks and we will be 9-2 when we go to Columbus and if were not I will still support this team. I hope you all will do the same. Have a great Sunday. Mino out.

With Tuttle at QB....

I think that we at least have a chance to win 8 games, which to me is a key achievement in this season of diminished expectations. After the UT loss, I thought that we would only win 5 games, but I'm a bit more optimistic with Tuttle as QB.

Sure, Tuttle's fumble was unfortunate, but he's the only QB we have with legitimate experience and an apparent ability to read progressions. I have to hope that with 2 weeks of snapes as the #1 QB, he will be a bit more polished at Illinois.

And while I agree with others that the defense's performance tonight left a lot to be desired, we still only scored 17 points on the road against a stellar offensive coach, and that's never enought to win a game, particularly on the west coast.

Oh, and it's readily apparent that Wink and Campbell both need to be out after this season. If he keeps them, Moore's tenure may only be 3 years.

Football The answer at QB this season...

Is that there is no answer. Plain and simple. Expectations and results need to be adjusted as such.

Michigan can win these games by getting scrappy and clawing their way to victory, like an Iowa. It might not look beautiful but that's just what it is at this point. Putting Davis Warren back into the fold isn't going to fix anything, Alex Orji isn't the savior and Jack Tuttle can't stay healthy enough to finish a game and you surely don't want to break Jadyn Davis before he can really get started, he needs more time to get stronger because he'd get hit and hit a lot. Perhaps this is Michigan biding its time for Tuttle to be healthy enough to play, but it's certainly no guarantee that things are going to be magically fixed with him under center.

This isn't as simple as waving a magic wand or putting a different guy back at QB and things being magically fixed. The offensive line needs to play better, WRs need to play better, and the quarterback needs to play better to have a chance against the conference's big boys.

Michigan needs a quarterback and that'll have to be addressed in the offseason. Whether they think Jadyn Davis is the guy next year or you find someone in the portal.

What it comes down to, people need to adjust their expectations of this offense. There is no 'fixing' this during the season. They are what they are and it's either going to be enough or it's not, time will tell. Can it get better if the OL improve? Sure. Can it improve if the receivers can get separation? Sure. If QB play improves, can the offense improves? Sure. But it's not going to equate to a completely different look, just good enough to get by.

Everyone on the offensive side of the ball needs to look inwardly, that includes the staff. These guys aren't morons, they know what needs to be fixed. It's how they go about addressing these issues will make or break this offense moving forward.

People like to poke fun at my "it is what it is" on the podcasts but it's true here. The offense is what it is, it's not great, good enough to win you games. People are going to say that the whole staff should be fired and whatnot but I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt with the Harbaugh stuff and some of the NCAA BS that was polluting the background might've gotten in the way a bit.

A drama-free offseason will be a good judge to see where things go.

As for the here and now, folks just have to be prepared to watch this product every week. They're not going to wow you with the numbers but the wins keep stacking and that's what matters. That's the only thing they can fall back on right now. IF that stops, then it's a brand new look at things.

Makes no sense

It makes no sense why our elite talent came back for this when we all know they turned away huge NIL offers to transfer. They DID NOT stay for this. The coaches aren’t making any adjustments that work. Tuttle for example gave a spark 🔥 and then it’s gone. Washington adjusted to him and our coaches???? The coaches seem lost. But I’m rooting for them to get that #BET feeling going again!
