Former Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald is suing the school for $130 million, saying his alma mater wrongfully fired him in the wake of a hazing and abuse scandal that has engulfed the athletic department.

It’s a really big number, but I guess in this environment it’s best to pursue your ex employer in court with a very large number… I expect Coach Tucker will be doing the same

Some vague chatter on Twitter suggest that Friday could be a day where there is some sort of announcement on Harbaugh’s contract. I usually don’t comment on Twitter rumors but this one seems to be of interest of everyone involved here, so it’s worth a shot to dig.
I have a few messages out and I haven’t been able to get anything definitive one way or the other yet.
I am working on it and will report back if/when I have something.
The NCAA Division I Council approved changes to the transfer portal windows that will shrink the number of days for student-athletes to enter their name in the portal.
Good friends that are HS/travel coaches and one whose wife is a D1 assistant (she was there as well) watched Michigan vs Notre Dame Saturday. Thoughts ranged from U of M being nothing special, behind the times, to you can’t win at a national level these days with three slappers in the lineup. Likely another long season compared to our past. Bonnie and Co are going to need to recruit/transfer on talent fix it.
...but I'm warming up to Mullings being a BIG impact player at RB next year.
Long way to go this season but he is heading towards 6 to 10 carries a game as RB3 behind Edwards and Corum.
Please do not remotely try and bash Edwards. You would just be showing how little you know about football and injuries.
Edwards missed the WHOLE off season including fall camp without contact. He was a slow starter last year so please dont prove how stupid you are by saying he should be dropped from RB2. He is just starting to find his stride. Last 6 games he will show everyone who he is!
Quick question.....in all my years of going to Michigan football games, I have rarely stepped outside of the home confines. I am taking my wife and youngest son to the MSU game on the 21st against my best judgement. For those of you who have gone to games there, is there a seating area (section) that you would recommend that would be best for us to be with other UM alum and fans?
This looks like the beginning of the end for Tommy Boy. I'd be surprised if he makes it through the season. IU overreacted with giving him that big contract during the COVID year.
Indiana Hoosiers coach Tom Allen fired offensive coordinator Walt Bell on Sunday, less than 24 hours after yet another dismal offensive performance in Saturday’s 44-17 loss at unbeaten Maryland. Allen said Rod Carey, the program's quality control coach since 2022, will take over play-calling...
