Video HTTP: Michigan is #1, Big Ten Champs, and headed to the Rose Bowl

Michigan Football is Big Ten Champions for the third consecutive season, the #1 ranked team in the College Football Playoff, and heading to the Rose Bowl to take on Alabama. Did the committee get it right? What do we think of the matchup? Can Michigan win the National Championship?

One of few remaining hurdles: Bowl prep

We have figured out how to accomplish a lot of our goals over the years and have been climbing the mountain.

The one thing the program has to figure out is how to be better after having a month off.

The one thing that has been baffling is how poor we have looked despite the time to prepare. Talking being ready from the get go.

One year it's the offense, the next defense, even special teams gets in the act. Total no show and disgraceful quitting in 2018.

The weird thing is one of the better preps was against bama in 2020.

They paid guys to play. satan is a pos.

We played well, but shea's pants were filled with fecal matter all game. Missing wide open throw after throw.

oSU 2x

So, I live in STL (sadly) but I have an extra bright spot today. I got to watch us hand oSU their loss this year, and now, I get to watch Mizzou beat them as well (Mizzou will be near full strength, and clearly oSU won't care which will help the cause). While it's not near as fun as going to the Rose Bowl or watching us win a Natty (which we will) I'll still enjoy watching oSU lose twice. Muahahaha.

GO BLUE! Screw oSU!

how the hell do you drop an undefeated fsu team drop to #6. They will get their #2 QB back so there goes that argument.

Here's the problem.
1. No #1 that dropped their last game has not made the playoff. Yet Georgia is probably out.
2. No UNDEFEATED conference champ has EVER been kept out of the CFP
3. Bama beat the #1 team in the country but no team ranked outside the top 6 has ever made the CFP. Bama is a one loss conference champ.
4. Texas beat Bama in Tuscaloosa like a drum. A loss is a loss doesn't matter when it happened. Texas is a one loss conference champ that won the head to head against another conference champ.

Btw Texas was outside the top 6 going into the weekend. That means osu should be in. Wait...did they play yesterday? Did they win their Division? Did they win their conference?

Michigan is in and they earned it!

GO BLUE!!!

Here's why I'm confident going forward,

Last week we played our biggest rival. A rival that had all the tools to win the game. We put every ounce of energy and emotion into that game and pulled out a victory.

I was concerned that the emotional bank account was pretty drained leading up to this game. I was also concerned about the new O-line combinations on short notice, and Then the topper was our center is dinged up.

Well, boys and girls, we still found a way. For as great as their D was, ours was better. We had just enough offense to get it done.

Now, we have a couple of weeks to heal, recharge, and retool a little.

This team is experienced and focused. Tonight was essentially a trap game, but we didn't fall for the trap.

Rejoice! We are in the tournament and may end up the number one seed, Go Blue!

Another pay-for-commitment NIL failure brewing

Reports from UCLA fan sites that Dante Moore is already unhappy with his NIL compensation - including the expectation that he has to do anything but play football to be compensated. Growing belief that he will transfer after this season for a bigger NIL deal (if he starts and is good) or to somewhere he can start (if he doesn’t start/flops).

Be careful what you wish for…
