Wow didn’t see the uab kid coming here

As the early portal targts have signed to other programs, new ones have emerged. While I'm still holdig out hope for Jamir Watkins, Ian Jackson, or Rodney Rice, these are probably not realistic at this time.

1. Xaivian Lee- 6'4", 180 PG, Princeton- Junior- 16.9 PPG, 6.1 Rebounds, 5.5 Assists, 44% FG, 37% from 3, 79% FT, 1.2 steals. Michigan seems to have a pretty good track record with Ivy League transfers- Mike Smith and most recently, Danny Wolf, though I will purposely ignore the never healthy Jaelin Llewellyn.😏He would fit as a long stretch PG and second ball-handler on the team. Decent 3-point shooter on a high volume (154 attempts).
2. Blake Harper- 6'8", 210 SG, Howard- Freshman- 19.5 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 3.4 APG, 45% FG, 40% from 3, 83% FT, 1.1 steals. Super-tall SG prospect (freshman) who already shows star qualities. CAN shoot- 40-99 from 3. Will his skills translate to a bigger conference? 16 points vs Kansas and 23 vs Cincinnatti makes it seem so.
3. Kennard Davis Jr.- 6'6", 215 SG/SF, SIU- Sophomore- 16.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.6 APG, 46% FG, 38% from 3, 76% FT, 1.3 steals. Big and physical swing man, more solid than spectacular in any area. Good defender with length.
4. Cedric Coward- 6'6", SG/SF, WSU- Transfer- Only played in 6 games in 2024-25 (injury)- 17.7 PPG, 7 RPG, 3.7 APG, 56% FG, 40% from 3, 84% FT, 1.7 blocks- The previous season with Eastern Washington he averaged a similar 15.4 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 1.7 APG, on 57/38/90 shooting splits, 1.9 "stocks" per game. Good, but not great three-point shooter, strong body for a guard. Defensive-minded.
5. Treysen Eaglestaff- 6'6", 190, SG, North Dakota- Junior- 18.9 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 2.4 APG, 42% FG, 36% from 3, 79% FT, 1.1 steal. High-volume three-point shooter (made 164 the last 2 seasons) who committed to South Carolina in the portal, then decommitted. The rumor is WVU, but why would he trade one mediocre program for another? Michigan should kick the tires, at least if really looking for a shooter.

4 ⭐️ 2026 WR Gordon Sellars out of Charlotte, NC, is scheduled to announce his commitment today. Gordon announced a Top 6 of Michigan, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, North Carolina A&T, and South Carolina, but visited Notre Dame last week, which presumably pushed them into consideration.

He visited Ann Arbor twice this Spring (3/28, 4/12) and is also scheduled to return for an O.V. (20/6).

Per sources, Clemson and South Carolina are in the lead, but I wouldn't rule out Michigan or Notre Dame as well. Gordon's family and coaches have been pretty tight-lipped about who leads at this stage.

Michigan OL coach Grant Newsome was in the Longhorn State to see the most offered prospect in the state of Texas in four-star 2026 OL Zaden Krempin on Thursday.

Krempin tells me the in-home visit went “great” and that Newsome told Krempin he would be back to see him at the end of the month.

He says the two “talked ball” and caught up on some of Michigan’s current offensive linemen and how they are progressing.

Krempin mentioned how impressive Andrew Babalola has been and that he actually went to a couple of classes with the true freshman during his latest visit to Ann Arbor in mid March.

In all, Krempin has been to Michigan three times and says “he has yet to meet someone he didn’t like.”

Michigan’s culture of “the team, the team, the team” is one of the main reasons he is considering them as a top school.

He takes his OV to Ann Arbor June 20-22, and will also take officials to Texas, SMU and LSU.

Time will tell if the Wolverines can pull him out of his home state, but Krempin has told me the distance doesn’t bother him.

But Newsome and the staff are pushing hard to bring Krempin north.
