I am beginning to have concerns about life after Harbaugh.
From the time after Lloyd Carr until JH arrived, it was tough for Michigan to hit the right recipe and regain on field success. JJ brought life and stability back to Michigan Football.
And while he did it, he did it is his own quarky way. Recruiting pranks, khakis, always wearing hat, who's got it better than us, etc etc.
While he was doing this, he had ups and downs, flirted with NFL, possibly broke NCAA rules, never attracted the highest level recruiting successes and developed a style of football that only Michigan used to win championships.
No other coach could do what he did and play the style he has to win a championship. To me, he is truly one of a kind.
I am not sure me, or this fan base is ready for Life After Jim Harbaugh. I am afraid we will all will discover quickly how good we had it with him here and maintaining this level is going to be extremely unrealistic. I just don't see it being done.
I like Coach Moore and think he gets first shot. My guess is he is a 3 year experiment that has mixed results, doesn't recruit with the big boys and probably settles into the 8-4 seasons that place you on outside of this playoffs. Boy, I hope i am wrong.
This leads to firings, new hires, trying to recreate what JH has done and we become less of an attraction for the highest.level HS talent that is out there.
Jim, don't leave. JH is a the face of a program as much as any coach there is and this programs wins because of that. The next chapter of Michigan football concerns me and I don't want to see a program going from top of mountain to levels of pre JH..
