Sooooo….one year later Florida is

Being investigated 😂🤔
Where is the Douche Patrol? Pete and Peter

Commissioner and SEC team coaches all up in there faces and daily activities? Media coverage one year later?

The extremes on how one team is targeted versus another is so hard to forgive.

Insider More crickets on either side…

Still nothing of substance on either side regarding Harbaugh Watch. Didn’t want to keep anyone in suspense but I just have nothing to give you all. Wish I did but it’s just not there.

I continue to be of the opinion that no news is good news but we’ll see. Sorry I’ve been quiet today, took a bit of a phone break.

Michigan is 100% ready to go either way this goes, with them wasting zero time naming Sherrone Moore the head coach. I get the sense the terms have already been ironed out.

Needs some help from the membership on.....

.....how to increase NIL dollars both large and small.

Just couple things:
1. Only serious ideas
2. NO attacking NIL because it is part of football and isn't going anywhere. No attacking ideas.

Please try to stay be succinct in your ideas but if you need to explain have at it.

I will be addressing thoughts on revenue sharing also.

One idea came from @Fritzie where she stated that if you dig around on M athletics you may get lucky and find NIL buried but it is there. Not exactly a stellar endorsement by the university thats fir damn sure. NIL needs to be easily found and always somewhere on the front page.

Looking forward to your thoughts and ideas.

Recruiting Michigan football staff on the road recruiting again this week

With the contact period still in effect, where it is permissible for staff to make off-campus recruiting visits, members of the Michigan football coaching staff are on the road this week again to see some top targets.

Offensive line coach/OC Sherrone Moore stayed in the state of Michigan today and went to Portage Northern to see 2026 OL target Gregory Patrick.

Patrick has MSU ties as his father played for the Spartans' football program in his playing days, and Jonathan Smith and the MSU staff have prioritized Patrick since coming to East Lansing.

Moore and Michigan, however, will push hard in this recruitment, and after a September visit, Patrick told Maize & Blue Review he believes the Wolverines "will always be a factor in his recruiting" with the way U-M has developed offensive linemen under Moore.

Michigan also saw another important OL target on Monday, but it was tight ends coach Grant Newsome taking the visit to see class of 2025 four-star Michael Carroll at his high school in Pennsylvania.

Carroll's recruitment has really picked up over the last several months, and while it will be a challenge for Michigan to pull him away from his home state with Penn State being in the mix, Carroll is high on coach Moore and Michigan. After visiting Ann Arbor after a camp session and visiting for the BBQ at the Big House last July, Carroll said he thinks Moore is "the best to ever do it" as an OL coach.

He has been to Michigan twice since then and most recently for The Game on Nov. 25.

Stay tuned for more updates this week about Michigan coaches hitting the road to see top targets as they carry on in a "business as usual" mindset during Jim Harbaugh's pending decision regarding his future.

This Seems On Track To End...

The way it has the past three years. Harbaugh very interested in the NFL, IF the NFL wants him.
Result: NFL doesn't want him.
And if it doesn't want him, THIS cycle, it never will again, and he will remain at Michigan until he retires, quits, or is fired. To me, good news.
Don't we really think if he was this homerun hire that is desperately wanted, and fear of losing him, he'd have been announced by now?
Longer it does on, UM is in good shape. Find it hard to believe he is that big of a deal to an NFL organization, yet no move is made.
If anything, JH is just postering to get what he wants out of UM at this point, which is likely just protection verbiage in his contract, because reportedly, the money is there and then some to make him highest paid coach in all collegiate sports.

A very interesting take on where Archie Manning should transfer.

Manning should transfer to none other than... MICHIGAN!
The author wrote WHY:
1. Michigan has a very strong running game.
2. Michigan has a very elite defense.

Manning at Michigan could bring a dynamic attack through the air and on the ground.
Opening up Michigan to days past such as when Brady, Grbac and others graced under
center at Michigan. But Manning could take the game to a more diverse attack. This
would be very interesting to see what a Harbaugh/Moore led Michigan could do with
Manning under center at Michigan. I'd say intriguing, but unfortunately, he may not
be this smart.

Just for fun: Things you've accomplished before Jim Harbaugh has made a decision

Since we're all hanging out in a holding pattern, figured we'd have a fun discussion to lighten the mood a little bit.

What are some things you've accomplished in January before Jim Harbaugh has figured out what he's doing next?

- Got my tax documents finished, I'm a notorious slacker in that regard
- Rearranged my living room and buying a new entertainment center
- Re-organized my bathroom
- Cleaned out my closet
- Have watched the Lions win two playoff games (the first time since being in the USA in 2000)
- Making potential vacation plans for April

Insider Intel: Michigan rewarding Sherrone Moore, Jesse Minter

As the wheels continue to spin on the Jim Harbaugh saga, Michigan is preparing for either scenario and has been proactive having their bases covered and not sitting on their hands.

We have been told that Michigan has been proactive in discussions with both Sherrone Moore and Jesse Minter to lock them up with new deals, both with significant pay raises that will be among the nations highest.

As of right now, the direction of the deals mostly hinge on what Harbaugh ends up doing for multiple reasons.

For Moore, Michigan isn’t going to give an OC extension to someone that will be elevated to head coach. We are told that the details of both the OC extension and head coach deal have been ironed out and they’re ready to move once it’s known what happens next. It won’t take long for Moore to be announced as head coach.

As for Minter, the same situation goes for him. It’s been widely speculated that Minter will likely head to the NFL with Harbaugh if he were to depart and teams like Jacksonville have been hot on the trail for Minter, so there’s a scenario where he leaves for the NFL regardless. He has a choice to make, too. He stays in Ann Arbor, there’s a nice deal waiting for him.

Until then, everyone is in a holding pattern. Once there’s a clear direction, things will get moving quickly.

More when I have it.

Video HTTP: Harbaugh Rumors and Michigan's plans

In the latest Hail to the Podcast we give the latest on Jim Harbaugh to the NFL rumors. Is it Chargers or bust? What are Michigan's plans for if Harbaugh leaves or if he returns? What does it mean for Moore, Minter, Herbert?

Time

Is this a vacation for coach Harbaugh? When will he return to work and fulfill his current job duties? Midwestern values are based on doing what you say and fulfilling your duties. I compare this to being married, and your significant other goes out to test the waters every year. You justify their behavior and allow it because they are so darn hot and successful, and everyone appears to want them as a spouse. There comes a time when you have to let them go. How much longer until Michigan tires of this and looks for a committed partner?

Good Timing

Julian Sayin and the other recruits from Alabama that the Bucknuts either flipped or grabbed from the Transfer Portal were already enrolled and attending classes at Alabama. But today, January 22, is the deadline for Spring Semester enrollment at Ohio State. All of them can register, officially start classes and legally participate in Ohio State’s spring and summer football camps to be ready for their season opener against the Akron Zips on August 31.

How many of our ‘24 recruits and transfers are enrolled for the Spring Term at Michigan? Do we have any transfers?

Bucknuts Loading Up

With Sayin now the Bucknuts have two 5-star QBs. Not likely they’ll both remain, but they have them both for the moment. They have some donors with really deep pockets. They must have spent more in the last two weeks than Day said they’d need in total for the ‘22 season.

It’s not likely that both QBs are going to stick. Do we have any interest in Air Nolan? Or would he even answer the phone from a team with an unknown head coach?

Video Good Afternoon, Michigan Football; QB1 race for '24

With JJ McCarthy gone to the NFL the question at qb is who will be next years starter and backup? We look at the possibilities. Jim Harbaugh set to take second interviews in Atlanta and LA. Also, the Lions move on to the NFC Championship game.

Insider At this point…

I’d be pleasantly surprised if Michigan holds onto Jesse Minter this offseason. I’m not saying it’s a done deal but Minter is going to be heavily pursued by the NFL. That’s the cost of doing business.

Also, fully expecting Ben Herbert to stay at Michigan no matter what. Harbaugh making sure he was taken care of played to Michigan’s benefit.

I think Semaj Morgan is going to be a great one...

I see a lot of highlights in his future. Nothing is a faster teacher than mistakes on the field. I'm sure the Rose Bowl experience will pay dividends for Michigan in the future.

I could live without the bling mouthpiece, but if that's what he needs to get into game mode, go for it.
He's young. I hope the leadership of guys like Mike Sainristil will influence him. It will be fun to watch him mature as he goes from rookie to one of the leaders on this team.

Go Blue!
