Football On Keeshawn Silver…

Saw the report that Michigan is one of the finalists for Kentucky DL Keeshawn Silver. Florida, Miami and USC also finalists.

I’ll be honest, this one wasn’t on my radar so I am asking around. Haven’t heard anything noteworthy back yet.

That’s not to say that shows what Michigan’s chances are, more so things are moving even if there’s nothing public going on.

Silver is a former five-star recruit.

EDIT: Did some asking around, definitely think Michigan is more than just a placeholder on a top schools list.

Definitely worth keeping an eye on at the very least

How Many ‘105s’?

The number of Michigan players entering the Transfer Portal in this cycle seems alarming. But how many of them were the result of the requirement that the roster be reduced to 105 by the beginning of the 2025 season?

This longer entry window to the Portal is the one that would provide the greatest opportunity for players not invited back to find another team to play for. It’ll be tough this year because every Division I program is faced with the same 105 player roster cap. Over and above those who have exhausted their eligibility, there will be a lot of players who played their last game of college football in 2024.

Michigan adds Brady Norton, #1 OL in FCS

Michigan has added Cal Poly OL Brady Norton in the transfer portal.
Norton allowed only three pressures all season and zero sacks. He was the highest-graded OL in the FCS, according to PFF.

Football On Max Klare…

One thing I have my eye on from the Purdue transfer is his visit to Louisville today. Jeff Brohm obviously recruited Klare to Purdue so there’s definitely familiarity there.

I’m told he had a strong visit to campus yesterday but the Cardinals are perceived to be a big threat here because of that long-term relationship.

More when I have it.

It's Good News Wednesday! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone.

My good news is we have a bowl game to look forward to, and overall, through the portal, we've added some solutions to some holes in the team.

We had a great Christmas. Christmas Eve, we went to church and then to my mom's for snacks and a few early gift exchanges.

Today, we spent the morning at my son's with the granddaughter (4) and had a blast watching her go through the presents with laughter, surprise, and joy.

This afternoon was reserved for watching TV, napping, and doing it over and over.

I hope you all had a great Christmas with the people you love.

We celebrate the birth of Christ on this day every year. For me, the two greatest days in human history are the birth of Christ and resurrection.

I love the gifts and the family gatherings. I love the food and traditions, but like many other things in this world, it all starts because Jesus came to give us a path to something greater than this life on earth.

Merry Christmas to all of you. How about we get another Natty in '25?!

What's your good news?
