Football As we’ve been discussing regarding Jaishawn Barham…

It sounds like he will lean into being an EDGE for the 2025 season.

We discussed here and on the podcast that there had been discussions about whether he should play LB or EDGE next season. Michigan was fine with either decision but Barham’s NFL feedback suggested that he’s better off at EDGE for the next level.

Sounds like he is going to take that role in 2025.

As for LB, I expect them to address that through the portal.

Football On Keeshawn Silver…

Saw the report that Michigan is one of the finalists for Kentucky DL Keeshawn Silver. Florida, Miami and USC also finalists.

I’ll be honest, this one wasn’t on my radar so I am asking around. Haven’t heard anything noteworthy back yet.

That’s not to say that shows what Michigan’s chances are, more so things are moving even if there’s nothing public going on.

Silver is a former five-star recruit.

EDIT: Did some asking around, definitely think Michigan is more than just a placeholder on a top schools list.

Definitely worth keeping an eye on at the very least

Michigan adds Brady Norton, #1 OL in FCS

Michigan has added Cal Poly OL Brady Norton in the transfer portal.
Norton allowed only three pressures all season and zero sacks. He was the highest-graded OL in the FCS, according to PFF.

Football On Max Klare…

One thing I have my eye on from the Purdue transfer is his visit to Louisville today. Jeff Brohm obviously recruited Klare to Purdue so there’s definitely familiarity there.

I’m told he had a strong visit to campus yesterday but the Cardinals are perceived to be a big threat here because of that long-term relationship.

More when I have it.

Football On Liberty OL Jordan White…

Was told he had a good visit to campus yesterday and will be visiting Vanderbilt tomorrow.

From those in his circle, he wants to keep his process quiet and doesn’t want details out there. Very business-like. I didn’t push much from there to respect his wishes, waiting to hear back whether he has a decision timeline or not.

If there’s anything that comes from it, this will largely be Michigan’s side of things moving forward.
