Just a little something to keep in mind...

....NIL is not limitless at Michigan or any other program contrary to popular belief.

McGee and Sherrone have a budget just like any organization and though NIL support has increased dramatically they have to be smart on how to spend the funds available and the most bang for their buck.

This weekend we had a former 5 star RB on campus...a highly sought after OT...a WR...a CB...and a QB.

At least 2 if not 3 will demand significant $$$. If we missed on any it could be for a number of reasons including NIL.

So, try and be optimistic but cautiously optimistic on who committs.

Football On Keeshawn Silver...

Damon Payne's addition has no impact on Michigan's pursuit of Kentucky DL Keeshawn Silver, they will take both.

Michigan feels optimistic about its chances for Silver but has to withstand a potential final push from other schools now that his visits are wrapped up. Not ready to say he's Michigan's to lose or they will get the deal done but they put themselves in a really good spot.

What to expect from Chip Lindsey at Michigan

Sherrone Moore wanted balance but explosiveness at Michigan.
Chip Lindsey's history of scoring 30+ points with 300-yard passing and 180 yards per game rushing, record-breaking QBs and RBs, suggest he will bring exactly that to Ann Arbor.

Football Michigan casting a wide net in the trenches

Can confirm that Wazzou OL Fa’alili Fa’amoe is set to visit campus next week (don’t have specific dates can only confirm the intention to visit), that was first reported by Matt Zenitz.

Can also confirm that David Gusta has been contacted by the staff, another Wazzou player. DL.

Fa’amoe is one of the top OL in the portal currently regardless of service.

Y’all do me a favor.

If I ever slip into this pathetic “the media hates us” complex - slap me around the internet for a month.

Reading OSU fan and fan media (Tony Gerdeman in particularly who I’ve always liked) whine about ESPN and Herbstreit makes me embarrassed for the entire institution.

I think Jim broke an entire state. Soft is an understatement.

That’s all.

TCU Safety set to visit (Edit: Not happening)

EDIT: Johnson has withdrawn from the portal and Michigan ended its pursuit with the Metcalf addition.

Biggest questions in the secondary heading into the portal for me...
Does Rod Moore return?
Where does Zeke Berry play next season?
What do we make of Jyaire Hill's end to the season?
Early portal smoke suggests Michigan is targeting an outside corner and a safety. I could see Berry return to nickel, Moore can play nickel, those two could rotate. After how he finished the year, I think I like Berry at corner, but it will be interesting to see the staff's thoughts here as we go on.

Johnson is an intriguing name. He's 6'1" 200lbs and a versatile player. He's listed as safety, but he took most of his snaps in the box as a safety/LB hyrbid. 373 in the box, 163 at FS, and 111 at nickel. Have to find his ability to line up anywhere like that valuable, especially with Michigan's defense showing multiple looks. He's slightly above average in coverage with a 59% comp rate and 3 pass breakups. Targeted 32 times, no penalties. He had 55 missed tackles last season, first red flag, he had 17 missed. Would need to watch the film for reasons why that number is so high. Not a guy used in pass rush, but can makes an impact in the run game. 22 of his 55 tackles were "stops" or "failures" for the offense (runs of less than 3 yards).
