Calling it now..

The next two games will be easy wins. Rutgers will not score much at all. Casey Thompson I just heard, his health is in question injured his arm. Nebraska had 29 yards in the second half against Illinois. I look for our defense to hold both of these teams under 200 yards of offense. Matter of fact I put the over-under at 150 yards for both games. 10 and 0 against Illinois. Here we come. I also think we decide to make that a statement game. No tricks, no traps. We gon to da super bowl 😂

Recruiting A story on why I was initially nervous about GWIII

Coming into this decision, GWIII told Davis that he had committed to a staff personally and hadn’t let the other staff know that he made a decision just yet.

Naturally, we asked around and word around the Michigan program was “no idea.” So, that rang some alarm bells. We heard some Wake Forest buzz as well, more alarm bells. So both of those instances kind of made us both concerned.

Fortunately, we were assured that Michigan was going to be the choice a couple hours after we posted what we did yesterday.

Just a false alarm. He was on campus and committed to Howard personally, which would explain why not many people knew. Juwan is typically quiet.

OT: teens trick or treating

Read an article earlier today that had a rundown of cities across the US that have passed laws/ordinances prohibiting teens from trick or treating. They varied from anyone over 12 to (more often) those over 14-16, and one even had jail time (!!) and a few had $100 fines. What are your thoughts? I don’t mind the teens, especially if they have made at least an effort to throw a costume together (girls for sure win out in this area, although again I said effort lol) and if they are polite, or at least not impolite lol, although if I’m running low on candy I won’t be super generous. I think it’s nice to see them out and about having fun. And luckily we have nice teens in my area so no issues with “intimidation” etc.

Insider Some rumblings on George Washington III… (1:45 pm update)

UPDATE 1:45 pm: Recruiting is wild. I feel MUCH better it’s going to be Michigan now. There were some legitimate concerns but those have been quelled.

I will find out more today but I am prepared to flip my FutureCast prediction from Michigan to Wake Forest.

My optimism is waning a bit for the Wolverines but I should get a clearer view later on today.

Mel Tucker

I thought it said alot that he would not commit to contacting Harbaugh. He never apologized to the players that were the victims of the assault. He apologized to both universities just a very bland statement. How much would it take for him to say I am going to reach out to Jim to personally apologize to him and the family. I dont know if he will answer the phone but I will reach out. That shows a lack of class to me. Listening to their fans and radio personalities put blame on Harbaugh and Michigan is just disgusting.

Happy first birthday, M&BR!

Wow. 365 days. Crazy we’re here.

On this day one year ago, we launched and I was absolutely terrified. Terrified about the thought that the journey I’m about to embark on was too big, too ambitious for me.

365 days can teach you a lot of things. The most important thing that it can teach you is belief. Belief you can do it. You all have helped me realize this.

We’ve had a lot of wins here and I plan for those to continue. We’ve taken our losses, too, and that’s OK. We plan to earn back departed business just as hard as we work to keep you all here.

365 days has taught me the power of having good people and a sense of community.

I am so proud of my guys, they work so hard and they all deserve the individual recognition they should get. I am also proud of the community we’ve built here. We’re inviting, open and welcome all opinions, whether we disagree or not. Not too many places can boast the things we can.

Most importantly, 365 days has taught us that we belong.

Michigan fans have the luxury of choice when it comes to coverage. All of it good. But, if I’ve learned anything over this last year, we have asserted ourselves as a place that belongs in the discussion everywhere else. We’re going to continue to do that.

To conclude, a sincere thank you for all of you being here. You all have afforded me the opportunity to live a dream I never thought would be possible. I love what I do and I love this community. Every day is a dream I hope to never wake up from.

Happy first birthday, M&BR. Here’s to many more.

Should MSU forfeit?

My wife’s first reaction was they should forfeit games. I originally thought too extreme as whole team didn’t commit the crime. But thinking further, how many of them just stood there watching? And really the perpetrators are representing the whole team. Maybe the best way to make a statement is to punish the whole team. Maybe a game or more?
