Spartan friend

Yes I realize the comments about having Sparties as friends but when you live in The Mitten is what it is. Had dinner tonight try to avoid any conversation about the game but he brings it up. Ok let's talk. He asked

Him:Did I see the videos?
Me:Yep.
Him:What do you think?
Me:Not good

Then it's goes bad from there. Wondering what our guys said? Then blamed them for being alone? Then it was Harbaugh's fault for the pass at the end caused it.....

Put down my salad fork and said....Your rite assault with intent to do bodily harm is warranted under those circumstances. He was speechless. Rest of the meal was fine. They are a bunch of weirdos for sure and will defend and deflect this the whole topic. I hope MSP and AP take their time and present a solid case to prosecutors but I believe the prosecutor is one of those crime is not a crime anymore DA so we will see.

We aren’t anything I thought we’d be this year.

I thought there was no way we could run the ball or defend like last season, but we’d make up for it by having a more wide open pass attack that could win some shootouts.

Instead we have just as a good a running game and defense as last year, our wide receivers aren’t near as good as we thought, and by conception our play callers are downright allergic to having us throw the ball downfield.

It vexes me. I am terribly vexed.

And our not throwing the ball downfield at all (until the last 3 minutes) wasn’t exactly what you want to show the 4 top QB recruits in attendance.

MSU player attacking with helmet - is this correct?

So I just watched the video of Gemon Green being attacked by the MSU player(s), and they are swinging their helmet at Gemon. Here is the video: Login to view embedded media
That is obviously disgusting, but what I find to be the worst part of this is the MSU staffer who sees this, then runs towards the person filming it as if to try and block them from getting video of this.

So, I took about a minute and looked through the MSU coaching staff. Looks to be Ben Mathers. His title? Director of Football Operations.

Ben Mathers
Ben MathersDirector of Football Operations

If this is true, and your Director of Football Operations acted this way - not stepping in, and instead running towards the camera- I'd argue this is worse than anything else we saw. This piece of absolute shit needs a lot more than simply being fired.

This is beyond pathetic.

Jim Comporoni has the absolute worst take on MSU jumping Michigan players (it's all Harbaugh's fault)

I thought that Comp had hit rock bottom when he had to apologize for posting that MSU players should dive at Devin Gardner's knees a few years back, but I was wrong.

This bit of utter garbage journalism is worse.

Does he honestly believe that Mel Tucker forbids trash talk and Harbaugh encourages it? Does he honestly think that MSU players don't take cheap shots? Is he that dumb or is he just trying to throw some red meat to their fanbase? I'm inclined after reading this to think that he probably is just that dumb...

Recruiting New FutureCast prediction is in

After speaking with multiple people, I feel good enough to place a FutureCast prediction in favor of Michigan for 2024 LB Brian Robinson.

He’s visited campus many times in recent months, including yesterday, there’s a strong relationship with Clink and I think the Wolverines are in the drivers seat right now.

Recruiting Two new FutureCast predictions placed in favor of Michigan 10/30

It was a good weekend for recruiting buzz in the 2024 recruiting class and we are hearing enough positive buzz coming out of the weekend to place two new FutureCast predictions in favor of Michigan today.

Michigan felt like it could make a move for Hamilton coming into the weekend and the program did just that, jumping out to a lead for Hamilton. His relationship with Sherrone Moore is the key here. It's very strong.

Also, this is the first time I have ever seen something like this, Hamilton acknowledged a prediction to U-M elsewhere via his Twitter account positively.

As for Prieskorn, Michigan also feels like it's in great shape for the in-state tight end and sources around Prieskorn feel the same way, too. Prieskorn is a kid that doesn't speak to the media much so you have to get him in person to get any sense of where things stand. Zach spoke with him recently and he mentioned a strong relationship with Grant Newsome, who has done a great job here. Couple that with the vicinity close to home, I feel comfortable that the Wolverines will ultimately be the choice when he decides.

I don't get the sense either is super close to deciding but, in my opinion, the Wolverines would be the choice if that hypothetical decision were to come today.

I thought this was a good read by Pat Forde regarding last night

Blaming the tunnel is and will continue to be, BS.

My son is in graduate school at Liberty University for counseling.

He told me today he's offering free counseling for Paul. He said, after 24 months with the spitoons, he's very frightened for his mental state and whether he's been abused. He continued that with the events which happened in the tunnel last evening. There is no guess to asses the PTSD poor Paul most likely endured.🤣

JJ and Corum re red zone

Saw them talk about it on Inside Michigan Football (presumably from the post game presser) and I liked the attitude. Obviously glad we won but were both very frank about lots to work on and JJ even said something like he didn’t feel that happy at the moment, unacceptable (paraphrasing). He definitely looked and sounded different than post Iowa, Indiana, Penn State, and his facial expression said he was not happy with performance. Hoping this dissatisfaction helps keep the team’s focus for the big trip to Rutgers.
