Football 3 takeaways from Michigan football's stunning win over Ohio State

If there was any doubt at all about which program owns this rivalry right now, there certainly isn't anymore after Michigan's shocking 13-10 win over No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday.

Three takeaways from The Game:

Hats off

To the defensive staff. It starred rough but has been getting better and better. To shut down that offense without WJ was a master class. Perhaps Wink just needed to adjust to the college game, and perhaps his position coaches needed to adjust to him.

Keep them in tact and I think we see a great D next year. Gotta hit the portal to fill in spots, but the development was evident with this side of the ball.

What is hilarious and will hurt OSU going forward

is brining in key high level talent to C Bus. OSU spent $20 Million with the intent to buy a championship. Yet they failed due to inadequate coaching. This callops of the buck nut program should be a boon daggle for Michigan. We should very aggressively go after the top players the nuts are focusing on. We may now get the win on many top players should they fit our culture.

Take a trip with me back to signing day 2021

Signing day was complete and OSU landed a class for the ages.

In the top 10 overall recruits, OSU landed #1 Quinn Ewers, #2 JT Tuimoloau, #6 Jack Sawyer, #7 Donovan Jackson, and #8 Emeka Egbuka. Treveyon Henderson came in at #11. That gave them the #1 QB, #1 DE, #4 DE, #1 G, #1 WR and #1 RB. They had 12 players in the top 100 and also had #101.

UM had 3 guys in the top 100. The Don at 33, JJ at 38 (no, he wasn't a consensus 5 star), and El Hadi at 88.

Four years later, that vaunted class is 0-4 and their greatest accomplishment is ripping the M flag out of a Michigan player's hand at midfield after another loss at home.

Those gold pants are gonna be worth a lot pretty soon. Rare items.

Good times coming

Regardless of what happens today better times are coming. Everyone is disappointed about this year. I was a moron who laughed at 7-5 predictions..... Shows you what I know. This week will bring staff changes probably and I do think a few really good recruits. The portal will help rebuild this roster and we will be back for 2025. So enjoy the Game and who knows maybe God is a Wolverine fan today
