On Bellichek

As usual, e s p n and all the other great pundits have already given belichick, five straight national championships

The problem is on today's landscape, it still takes NIL money. It takes recruiting, which he's never done in his life, and he's going to have to put together a college staff, not a pro. Staff, because pros do not know how to recruit.

The knock on Jim Harbaugh was n. I l in recruiting, we'll see if bill's willing to raise that kind of money.

Is he a good hire? Absolutely, is he a great hire? We don't know and won't for a few years.

The draw uh, being coached by a great n f l coach helped harbaugh but at the same point we weren't getting ten five stars a year and nobody will. This could get north carolina three or 4 - 5 stars a year if they have the money to pay them.

Toy drives by players

Bryce and Will are both having toy drives tomorrow. Will is having his at Somerset on Troy and Bryce is having his in AA. For the locals on this board there is nothing better than helping a child get a toy at Christmas. I seen it first hand it's a great feeling knowing you have helped that child have happiness at Christmas. I tell my daughter daily how fortunate we are and she has done alot to help my staff put together a donation for Wills toy drive. We will be trying to do something for BU as well. Please help either or both drives if you can. Maybe Josh and Trevor can post more links for information. Happy Holidays

Summary Of The Differences

Spend a minute—as maddening as it may be—listening to the post-game locker room speeches by Urban Meyer and Ryan Day. I know I was aggravated.

Meyer summarizes the factors that were the foundation that lead to today’s moment. Day laid down the commitments expected from the players returning next season.

Some may call it BS...but maybe these may actually be fundamentals that go towards explaining how OSU does this so often. I just wish it was us.

Maddening

The ‘Domers are going nuts over the announcement by the ACC this afternoon that Notre Dame and Clemson will be playing for the ACC conference championship. They’re ‘laughing and doing a jig’ over the fact that Brian Kelly is leading his team into a conference championship game before Jim Harbaugh, even though Harbaugh is being paid more than five times what Notre Dame pays Kelly.

They’re pointedly calling attention to the fact that since they lost to Michigan in a monsoon rain last season, they have been undefeated, probably headed to the playoffs again, while Michigan has struggled to win only half it’s games.

The ‘Domers are easy to dislike.

Football Michigan signee Eli Owens ready to put the work in for Michigan football

Michigan’s Eli Owens was committed to the program since January and officially signed last week.

“Every time I visited Michigan, I felt like nothing could compare.”

Story on Owens’ journey, his relationship with Max Bredeson, and more:

Football On Liberty OL Jordan White…

Was told he had a good visit to campus yesterday and will be visiting Vanderbilt tomorrow.

From those in his circle, he wants to keep his process quiet and doesn’t want details out there. Very business-like. I didn’t push much from there to respect his wishes, waiting to hear back whether he has a decision timeline or not.

If there’s anything that comes from it, this will largely be Michigan’s side of things moving forward.
