Zvada has been heroic

Very Apparent Early On That This Was Going to be a Close Game

Early in the 2nd Quarter, there were a series of plays that made it very obvious we were in OSU's head. After Howard went out for a play and the Judkins 4th down conversion, OSU was celebrating like they won the Super Bowl. Will Howard was doing wind sprints on the sidelines hyping the crowd up. There was a timeout called during that drive, and they were all running off the field pumping the crowd up.

It was all so performative and dramatic. It's like they were trying to convince themselves them were into it. And even coming out of Halftime, Jenny Taft said that Day's primary message was play with emotion. That's the opposite. All they needed to do was execute. Instead, it devolved into another attempt to out-emote and out-tough UM. And it backfired tremendously.

Not sure how much longer Ryan Day has, but as long as he is there, his team will contine to be walking caricatures of him. Talk a big game. Tough when it doesn't matter. And fold under pressure.

Ok lets set the record straight..

..this is not remotely a I told you so thing. I have seen over the years the majority of people on here post they would take 0-11 and a win over osu and it would a successful season.

Nobody could predict today but the optimistic people at least said there was a punchers chance.

It wasn't pretty but it never is. We are NOT and will NEVER be a finesse team!

4 straight wins over our rivals. We did it the same way we won the NC....pound the rock and play D.

The blame game has been in overdrive since the UT game. None was deserved!

We lost 23 contributors ...19 to the NFL. Lost our HC who took the whole
defensive staff with him...Lost our QB who waited to long for us to get a QB out of the portal. Lost SIX olinemen...not 5 but SIX!

The losses and injuries to the secondary totalled 9 players missing at least 2 games with 7 either leaving or missing more than 5 games.

The oline had 4 guys miss at least 2 games 3 missed 3 or more.

We were stuck with 3 QBs who gave it their all. Warren is a WALK ON...Orji tried his best and the heart Jack Tuttke showed was amazing! His arm was not ready but he gave it a go. He suffered his 5th concussion and God bless him he did the SMART thing and retired. People called all of this "EXCUSES"

People bashed the shit out of this team. Especially the QBs. Did people honestly think they were sabotaging this team on purpose?

Then of course there was/is the constant coach bashing! People saying "I'll give Sherrone 1 more year" like they somehow have a say isln Sherrones job security. Wink was MASTERFUL today! Yet people have called for his head as well!

The thing is..m being critical of coaches is one thing. Wanting them fired every week in and week out is another.

It is NOBODYs place on here to decide who gets hired and fired...NOBODY'S

Questioning play calling is the eternal right of any football fan. It's funny how people won't complain or bash after this game yet attacked this team and staff the whole damn season.

I love a great debate. Yes I know everything is not always butterfly's and puppy dogs but the flip side is even worse.

I have been a Michigan fan for over 60 years! I have questioned the coaches and even coaching hires but I've NEVER called for someone to be fired. That's not my place. That falls at the feet of the AD!

Do I believe changes need to be made? ABSOLUTELY. If and when those changes come I will support them whether I approve or not.

We all pay to be on here. Yes, it gives people the right to voice their opinions. I just choose to stay positive and do my best to bring a strong civil argument to support my optimism....not just "fire the coach". I happen to love a great debate. I've had my ass handed to me on here by a lot of people. I actually welcome people who know how to attack my argument without making it personal and attacking me!

I love this site and look at it as my barstool and for the most part as people on here as my friends that I can debate and talk shit to. I look forward to the future on here.

I have no idea what the future holds for Michigan football but it sure looks bright. Sherrone brought us into NIL in a huge way. He landed the NUMBER 1 RECRUIT IN THE COUNTRY! There was lots of bitching about NIL and recruiting also and Sherrone plus McGee both said hold my beer!

Today was going to happen because it needed to happen. Give credit to the oline which was much maligned the whole season. Wink for calling a GREAT game and the entire team for a GREAT effort! Let's hope this helps us close some recruits.

Much love and respect to Josh and his staff as well as all fans on here. Lets just try and keep it civil in the future when things don't go the way we think they should.

GO BLUE

RIP Lou Carnesecca at 99 yrs young!

His St John's teams were fun to watch, especially the mid 80s with Chris Mullin, Mark Jackson, Walter Berry, & Bill Winnington! The classic battles with Georgetown and Patrick Ewing etc. Were must see college basketball.

Owusu-Boateng teammates to Colorado

Two defensive ends that play at IMG with Michigan target LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng have committed to Colorado.
London Merritt recently decommitted from Ohio State and is a top 60 players in the class.
Alex Mc Pherson on the other hand is a low three star.

I don't think these commits are a major shift for Owusu-Boateng but he has mentioned being interested in uniting with other strong defensive players, and an affinity for some of his IMG teammates.
Of course, Michigan has Shamari Earls, Kainoa Winston, Elijah Dotson and is working to close a bunch of top names at EDGE and in the secondary including Owusu-Boateng's former IMG teammate Alex Graham.

I still feel good about Owusu-Boateng ending up at Michigan, but he's been a roller coaster recruitment at times, and it will just feel nice to get him in fold sooner rather than later.
