Harbaugh following his own blueprint with second college to NFL move

The parallels between Jim Harbaugh's last move to the NFL and his move from Michigan to Los Angeles are taking shape.
Sherrone Moore now faces the same task as David Shaw, building his program while he battles his mentor for staff.

Happy Monday, everybody! Obviously we all see/saw the headline. How about maybe we set our focus on a little more positivity this week? No better day than Monday morning to start!

Like Josh said, this is what happens after you win a national championship… Your staff gets poached, one way or the other.

I personally try to be more positive as I’m naturally a pessimistic person, but I figured it was worth saying let’s not allow the first headline on a Monday morning just start the week off on a negative foot!

Moore needs to blaze his own trail

You folks can not expect Harbaugh to staff this program for Moore. Moore needs to be his own man and hire his guys. Jim Harbaugh is about Jim Harbaugh winning in LA. He's a one track mind. Some say awkard. He will take his office chair if it will help him win. Big test for Moore to put his staff together. Once the dead period happens in recruiting things will move. None of this should be a suprise to anyone. Let's not panic and think the program goes back to RR days.

Insider Intel: One name as an early DC candidate sticking out

With the expectation that Jesse Minter will leave Michigan to join Jim Harbaugh's staff in Los Angeles, Sherrone Moore will be on the search for a new defensive coordinator sooner rather than later if the speculation comes to fruition as most think it will.

One early name that is standing out from those I have spoken with is Baltimore Ravens' inside linebackers coach Zachary Orr. His name has been brought up in discussion with people I speak with multiple times, Trevor has heard his name mentioned as well. Now, could this be an echo chamber of people repeating some sort of speculation? It's possible. But when you hear it from separate people not related to each other, you take some stock into it.

Orr is young, only 31, but has been in the NFL coaching ranks since 2017 where he got his start as a defensive analyst with the Ravens after ending his playing career in the NFL in 2016.

In 2021, Orr was hired by the Jacksonville Jaguars to coach the outside linebackers and was hired back by the Ravens this season.

Is he going to be the guy? I cannot say but he's from the Ravens coaching tree and it's clear that Moore has some level of interest in him.

It's an intriguing option, to say the least.

Harbaugh wants Michigan analytic staffers

Pro Football Rumors reports that Harbaugh made a significant and specific “ask” during his negotiations with the LA Chargers. He wants the UM analytics staffers to have jobs/ follow him to Los Angeles.

That division of the team, aside from sign stealing, was rarely featured. And it is SO MUCH MORE than cataloging another teams signs.

Interesting. Who are we talking about? Names?

Can we have a talk?

Alright, I don't want to have to do this a bunch, but it needs to be said. Hopefully, only this once, and hopefully, you understand where I am coming from.

I appreciated @buttaball post the other day about respect for Josh and I. We've given everyone a long leash because we understand how Harbaugh leaving can get people fired up. The point of this board is for like minded Michigan fans to be able to come in, talk, share ideas, and sometimes frustrations.

But the constant negativity is getting out of hand. We are bringing intel, and we are going to have more and more to continue to bring. We can't have every thread getting hijacked with, frankly, bullshit because people are up in their emotions. Blatantly ignoring things Josh is saying to instead get mad at the imaginative scenario they have created in their head. Or the cross-posting of information that has gotten way out of hand.

You all built this community, and we are so proud of it. I am not asking you to be sunshine blowers; I am not asking you not to post opinions, but we can not allow the constant complaining to drown out the actual information we are trying to share with you all.

If I have to do warnings and bans to ensure the vast majority in this community get the experience they expected when they paid to sign up here, I will. And if you've received bans or warnings for this before, consider this a final warning.

If this is confusing, feel free to ask questions. I hope everyone understands where I am coming from. We have never drawn a line in the sand, and we are willing to let people play in the gray, especially during tense times like this, but some of this has trended way past the edges of gray.

This place means a lot to me. The trust Josh and all of you have put into me means a lot to me. This place is a community bigger than any one person.
