Las Vegas Bishop Gorman five-star offensive tackle Douglas Utu will be in Ann Arbor this weekend. Definitely big since he remains pretty wide open in his recruitment.

My good news is it's a Dusty day. This is a terrific hire. I have given Warde some grief in my day, but he got this one right.

I'm just about to leave for the airport. I'm picking up my niece (15) for a week of spring break fun.

She and her brother have been in the middle of a divorce/custody/name-calling/muddling fight for ten years, and it's taken a toll. She has an eating disorder, and he's had school and violence issues.

I begged my brother to try to have a good relationship with his ex, but they just can't. Of course, the kids suffer.

We plan to love her as best we can for a week. Later in the summer, we'll get her brother. We have lots of options for her to choose from. It's going to be fun!

Normally you wouldn’t expect the #11 selection in the draft to almost immediately be sent down to the G League. But take a look at the Orlando Magic roster. They have several shooting guards/small forwards who were among the best college players in recent years. My prediction? Someone is going to get traded. I don’t know if it’s Jett Howard, but the Magic appear to have way too much young talent at one position.

Bussing around to play G League games against other players desperately trying to make an NBA roster probably wasn’t what Howard expected when he decided to turn pro. Jett is the only player on his G League team who was even drafted. The Osceola Magic play in Kissimmee FL at Silver Spurs Arena, capacity 8,000. The arena is best known for the rodeo that is held there.
