Good article on the purge at Colorado last year

Methinks the players are classier than the coach. Oh and as usual the NCAA comes off looking great lol 🤦‍♀️

Texas Game

Texas will be missing a bunch of skilled offensive players next fall that will be playing in the NFL.,They’ll have a great QB coming back, but all three of their WR plus TE, both starting RBs and an OT will be new on their offense. On D they lost two DTs, a LB and a DB. Six of these players were drafted in the top 100 and the rest in the second 100.

Our Game with them in week 2 will be a whole lot closer than many people think.

Stumbled across something from 2019 that I find funny.

I often go after message board themes that I think are bunk. Maybe sometimes a little bit too much so. :)

One angry theme from years past that never passed the smell test went something like this. "Michigan is never going to achieve elite results if Jim Harbaugh is still involved in the offense. He needs to HAND OVER THE KEYS to Josh Gattis and let HIM run the offense or we won't get anywhere".

Hmmm....so the dude that knocked off Pete Carroll's dynasty from his seat at Stanford and took the 49ers from garbage to three straight NFC championship games including drastically switching their offense, needs to move out of the way??? What?!?!?! But that become a well accepted theme.

That theme drives the tone of this news report and with the benefit of hindsight (which includes Josh Gattis winning the Broyles Award when Jim went AWAY from his offense) exposes that angry internet narrative of the day for its full silliness. Anyways I got a chuckle and thought others might as well.

Thank goodness Jim held on to the keys - across the board.

LB Semaj Bridgeman in the transfer portal

Redshirt freshman LB Semaj Bridgeman has entered the transfer portal.
Bridgeman did not see the field last season.
Bridgeman was stuck between linebacker and EDGE. During the spring they experimented with Bridgeman in a SAM role similar to Jaylen Harrell in previous seasons.

Michigan QB room likely set for 2024

Throughout the spring, Michigan coaches have not given much regard to transfer portal questions when it comes to quarterback.
With no viable option in the portal and a day remaining in the window, Michigan appears set at quarterback for 2024.

Well its on to...

...RECRUITING.

Love the start! 2 top 100 guys out of 4.

Carter Smith is the real deal.

Nate Marshall is a 5 star with a 4 star ranking but is #21 in the country which is a 5 star ranking. IM CONFUSED!

Other 2 guys are top 250 guys.

Looking to flip tye LB from Miami another top 100 kid.

Still in the mix for multiple top 100 guys which is exciting.

Going to be hard (but not impossible) to find a top 100 WR.

Needs:
TOP 100 WR plus 3 more
DTs probably 2 maybe 3
TOP 100 CB is a must...plus 2 more CBs
2 Safeties
2 TOP 150 LB ...one would suffice
1 stud RB (Davis fits the bill)
Oline probably 3
DEs 3

That should do it.

Oh...and a KICKER

Insider Intel: Michigan hosted big prospect committed elsewhere

Was able to confirm alongside my guy @Greg Smith that Michigan hosted 2025 DB Tarrion Grant this weekend.

The four-star is ranked No. 37 overall in the class and is currently committed to Purdue.

This is a big visit. Greg and I will work to get comments on the visit soon.

That was a fun draft!

That was one heck of a fun NFL Draft to watch this year!! You had an awesome crowd in Detroit to go along with all of the Michigan football stuff. You had Rich Eisen promoting Michigan non stop, the Michigan football team opening up the show with the trophy on stage, 13 Wolverines picked over the three days, Jim Harbaugh singing the victors after picking Junior Colson, my Rams picking Blake Corum, and hardly a mention of that school down south, etc etc. What a great draft to watch and what a great marketing event for Michigan football. I can only imagine being a Michigan fan AND a Lions fan watching that draft. Good stuff!
