It sounds like he will lean into being an EDGE for the 2025 season.

We discussed here and on the podcast that there had been discussions about whether he should play LB or EDGE next season. Michigan was fine with either decision but Barham’s NFL feedback suggested that he’s better off at EDGE for the next level.

Sounds like he is going to take that role in 2025.

As for LB, I expect them to address that through the portal.

Sounds like Michigan avoided disaster with Brady Prieskorn after being carted off pregame against Ohio State.

I can’t say whether he will be ready for the bowl game but he is definitely not considered long-term, which is good news.

It's still the weekend so a lot of these visitors are still on visits or things are wrapping up. I am working on it.

The first two games have been lopsided affairs with the lower ranked team being outclassed. Television watching getting a bit boring. The last two games of this first weekend may be more competitive but I doubt it.

Eight teams in the playoffs may be the ideal number not twelve.

....NIL is not limitless at Michigan or any other program contrary to popular belief.

McGee and Sherrone have a budget just like any organization and though NIL support has increased dramatically they have to be smart on how to spend the funds available and the most bang for their buck.

This weekend we had a former 5 star RB on campus...a highly sought after OT...a WR...a CB...and a QB.

At least 2 if not 3 will demand significant $$$. If we missed on any it could be for a number of reasons including NIL.

So, try and be optimistic but cautiously optimistic on who committs.

Michigan has added Cal Poly OL Brady Norton in the transfer portal.
Norton allowed only three pressures all season and zero sacks. He was the highest-graded OL in the FCS, according to PFF.

So I just saw online on a Buckeye page that someone heard "from inside the osu athletic dept" that they are going to buy out Coach Third Base on Monday. Promote Chip Kelly to HC immediately and if he has success in the playoff then they will make him the permanent head coach........

Herring was recruited by Michigan but chose to play at Tennessee for current LB coach Brian Jean Mary. Herring was with UT before transferring to Memphis this spring. Coming off a strong year, opportunity to play, seems like an obvious fit.

During all of our struggles during this season I kept hearing how we were going to attack the portal and bring in a major portal haul. I know it’s still very early in the portal but it doesn’t even look like we are looking at some of the bigger names. We need a lot and so far it seems like very minimal has been done. What are your thoughts?
