Slowly moving portal moves?

During all of our struggles during this season I kept hearing how we were going to attack the portal and bring in a major portal haul. I know it’s still very early in the portal but it doesn’t even look like we are looking at some of the bigger names. We need a lot and so far it seems like very minimal has been done. What are your thoughts?

LIVE THREAD: Michigan at Wisconsin

9 p.m. tip tonight between Michigan and No. 11 Wisconsin. A HUGE test for the Wolverines as Dusty May leads his team into Madison to take on the undefeated Badgers.

But with a big test comes a big opportunity, and if Michigan can knock off Wisconsin on the road, the Wolverines will surge into the national discussion, and they'll be thought of as Big Ten contenders.

ESPN says Michigan is a 3.5-point underdog and its FPI ratings give the Wolverines a 35.2 percent chance to win.

Tip coming in about 45 minutes, exclusively on Peacock.

Recruiting On Derek Meadows…

3:00 p.m. Edit: And just like that, things change. Now hearing Alabama is making a big push again. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

I will preface this post by saying I do believe Meadows ends up committing to Michigan.

However, I do get the sense that both Notre Dame and Alabama were open to making a final push for him and conversations were had.

I think these talks were a little effective, as the confidence that he flips to Michigan took a hit. I say a little as the conversations were described to me as surface level and didn’t amount to much.

However, barring anything last minute, people are still expecting Meadows to flip to U-M. When? Not sure.

I still feel good, don’t think it’s as much of a slam dunk that it was before but I’d call it a blip on the radar right now.

Let it play out 😉

Bjork wants Ohio State to deemphasize The Game

"This whole mentality of about, and look, we sign up for it, if you get fixated on the end result and not have the process fully baked every time, you're going to lose," Bjork said. "The mindset's going to lose because you're only fixated on one thing.

College GameDay

Is this the best version of College GameDay? I actually think Saban & McAfee have reinvented this show in a positive way. Rece, Herbie, Desmond (and a little bit of Corso) represent the history of the show. I think McAfee's radio show is WAY too much McAfee. But, he's an entertainer and I've started to enjoy him in the College GameDay setting. And I gotta say...Saban is good on this show.

Dequan Finn??

What’s the scoop on Finn? He had tremendous success at Toledo, including a conference championship and several conference and game MVP honors. In three seasons Finn has passed for 7,377 yards, 66 TDs and a 143.9 QB rating. He added another 1,927 yards and 27 TDs rushing.

After transferring to Baylor he suffered a season-ending injury in his third game, then applied for and was granted a medical redshirt year. Now he’s back in the Portal a second time.

He’s a Detroit kid (King HS). What’s missing from this story?
