Poor Josh

With the media now on his case, it’s time for Josh Gattis to circle the wagons. He’s about to find out why not making friends with former bosses with lots of connections—Nick Saban and Jim Harbaugh—will turn out to be even more career-limiting than his play-calling.

Mario Cristobal will make certain Gattis is out the door before he is. He won’t decide to run an offensive coordinatior training school.

Too bad Josh. It’s even too late for an apology.

Gattis’ Career-Limiting Decisions

I have received the blessing to discuss what's going on with Zach

I respect Zach's privacy and love him like a brother, I didn't want to do anything that would make him uncomfortable. Even with the earlier post today.

"They deserve to know."

That's just the kind of person Libby is. The man is selfless, a genuinely caring human being that puts people ahead of himself. No one 'deserves' to know about someone's private life but the man cares about you all and I cannot fault him for that.

Zach has to take a leave of absence on the site because he lost his girlfriend tragically last night. Those two loved each other deeply, fiercely. Zach cared for her, and put time aside where he could've been working or doing something for himself to devote to her, all of her. That man is as pure of a person as you can get.

I won't get into any details of how and why he needed to take care of her, that's for him to discuss if he is comfortable. All I can say is that we love Zach, all of us. There's not a bad word anyone can ever say about the guy, to have a problem with Libby is to have a problem with yourself.

I take the responsibility of balancing work and life with my guys seriously. This is one of those cases where work is the last thing that should be on your mind. Life comes first. ALWAYS.

As for someone that views Libby, and the rest of my crew, as family, recruiting is the last thing that's on our minds at the moment. Our thoughts, and hearts, are with Zach and the loved ones of Lyndsey.

We will adjust as needed but we will do so with heavy hearts.

We love you Zach and rest in peace, Lyndsey.

The two of you will meet again with an embrace so beautiful.

OT: I started watching Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix. There's a story on a guy from

Melvindale who was murdered by his girlfriend. His son plays football for Eastern Michigan. I can't believe they haven't found the girlfriend yet. And I wonder how this psycho lady is staying under the radar. Her family probably knows where she is.

One factor that shouldn't be in play

Michigan has gotten a terrible whistle in this game the last two years.

I'm not sure if it was because of the empty stadium, but having multiple pass interferences called on plays were their QB just bailed the pocket and flung a duck a mile out of bounds is not pass interference.

The seven reviews last year.

Removing 7 points from our score.

The blatant no call on CoJo late.

The Big Ten better call this game legitimately.

Outgained msu all but 1 game in Harbaugh era: 4 of the worst managed games in his tenure

2015 is the one we didn't.

Actually a well managed game for 59:50 with a still wonky Rudock.

To go 0-2 in both 2015 and 2017 is pretty pathetic.

Also we rarely cause Turnovers in this game.

2015: 0. Us: 1
2016: 1. Us: 2
2017: 0. Us: 5
2018: 1. Us: 2
2019 2. Us: 1
2020 0. Us: 0
2021: 2. Us: 2

6 Total Turnovers created in 7 games.

Just laughable.

Donovan Edwards retweet

I’ll be discussing the Donovan Edwards retweet situation coming at 1pm with Trevor McCue. While I find it very hard to believe Edwards accidentally retweeted an anti-Semitic message, I will give him the benefit of the doubt when he says that he’s against racism, exploitation & oppression in all forms, including stereotyping and trafficking in hate. That he’s willing to go to the holocaust museum after the season is a good sign. I can see how some would call for a suspension. I don’t think Michigan needs to suspend him for Saturday’s game, but he should feel lucky if he gets to play. Let’s see what he says publicly on social media and elsewhere in the days ahead. Lots to learn for lots of people with this situation.
