Recruiting How Michigan can compensate for the loss of Biff Poggi on the recruiting trail

Coach Biff Poggi is off to Charlotte to coach the 49ers.

His ties to Baltimore and the DMV area, along with his overall success as a high school coach, played a role for Michigan on the recruiting trail. Poggi played key roles in landing Derrick Moore and luring Ayobi Okie over from Tennessee-Martin.

Story on the impact of Poggi's departure and how Michigan can make up for it.

Some word on the best player in the country...

It would appear that several predictions for 2024 top five prospect, Isaiah Collier, have been removed.
Most notably, a crystal ball form 247 for USC was removed today, as were picks here on Rivals for Cincinnati.

I spoke to a source, who told me Michigan feels that they are very much in it.

It has long been deemed USC as the favorite with Cincinnati and Michigan being the fall back options.

From what I am hearing, it wouldn't be a shock if one of those options wound up being the choice.

In these cases, I like to stick to my guns, but it wouldn't surprise me if this was another five-star that went against public perception.

Collier has kept his recruitment, 100% locked down, only three to four people know where he is going. The family says they still haven't made the decision yet. No one knowing where Collier will play his ball, shows exactly just how much analysts know about where kids are going. There will always be guesses and educated guesses, but no one knows officially until the player put pen on paper, ie Josh Christopher.

Recruiting New FutureCast prediction 11/15

After doing some digging, I feel comfortable enough to place a new FutureCast prediction in favor of Michigan for 2023 OL Nathan Efobi.

Efobi is announcing his commitment on Friday and I am fully expecting the Wolverines to be the choice here. He had a very positive visit to Ann Arbor back in September that vaulted the Wolverines up his leaderboard. Since then, I don't think they really left his top spot.

My pick is in and I am expecting good news.
