Did y'all see the BS that Thamel was spouting on Gameday yesterday?

Yesterday on ESPN's College Gameday, Thamel said this:

“I think the results of today’s game loom as a significant pivot point for Jim Harbaugh’s future at Michigan. A loss could expedite key decisions from both sides. A win obviously returns Jim Harbaugh to the sidelines here at Michigan. They play in the Big Ten title game, and then they go on to be a favorite, if they beat Iowa, in the College Football Playoff. It would also inherently temper NFL interest in Harbaugh until the season’s done."

“A loss could put things in fast forward, it could open the door to any NFL conversations Harbaugh could have. It would also put Michigan’s decision makers in the crosshairs. They’d need to determine in the upcoming weeks whether they want Harbaugh to return to the sideline despite a suspension to start the 2024 season looming as an inevitability.”

I feel like we don't even need Josh to weigh in here to know that this is bullshit. Our decision makers would need to determine if we want him to return? Uh, have you been paying attention, Thamel? Like, at all? Our entire university is behind Harbaugh. I sincerely doubt Harbaugh's future was uncertain even if we had lost this game, at least in terms of Michigan's interest.

Football COLUMN: Sherrone Moore is the future of Michigan once the torch is passed

No one is wishing away Jim Harbaugh's tenure in Ann Arbor, there's no denying who the next man up should be once the torch is passed, regardless of how long down the tracks the handoff comes.

Sherrone Moore is the future of Michigan football when the time comes.

I can hardly believe it.

Four years ago, the narrative was we were being out-recruited, out-coached, and outplayed. We heard stuff like we'll never catch up.
The truth is, we are still being out-recruited but not out-coached and outplayed.

The ability of this staff to develop players. Instilling a warrior mentality and creating winning game plans has been as good as any in college football.

This year has been the most unique in Michigan history. We have gone undefeated while not having our head coach for six games.

It's crazy to think that until two years ago, we had never been to the Big Ten championship game. Now, we are on the doorstep of three in a row.

The future of college football is about to change again, and who knows how this will affect things going forward, but Jim Harbaugh has done what many thought would never happen again. Put Michigan firmly at the top of the Big Ten and maybe all college football.

I'm incredibly happy and proud of this program.
