Okay so now the Nuts NIL number is $20 million for this season

According to their AD
I remember hearing $15 million earlier… I’m sure their collectives are pretty pissed about the last few years… Earning a boost of $5 million more for their players or whomever🤔

Ironically, that’s the new annual number for all sports salaries that was laid out in the preliminary NCAA settlement discussion

Three Biggest Takeaways from Big Ten Media Days

It was an impressive showing for Michigan and new head coach Sherrone Moore at Big Ten Media Days.
These are my three biggest takeaways including the QB battle, this team fearing no one, and why Donovan Edwards is Michigan's most important player.

I can no longer tolerate casuals and national media suits calling our new 18 school Atlantic Pacific Transcontinental Super Conference the Big 10…

for another minute. We should start email bombing the conference executive office with a litany of new Conference name suggestions that they won’t have to change when they expand again in 2 years for an even 20 schools. Then it would be an obvious choice to name a now 20 school conference “The Big XX”. 18 poses a dilemma.

I say the new name should ditch “Big” altogether, and push forward that the conference spans the country from the Atlantic ocean, throughout the Midwest, all the way to the Pacific coast. That’s why I love the using the word “Transcontinental” in the new name.

How about The APTC? The Atlantic Pacific Transcontinental Conference. It’s not sexy, but most critically, it’s not stupid.

Think you can do better? Post your own new conference name and let’s compare. Seriously can’t ignore how stupid NOT changing the conference name to reflect and promote the enormity of being the 1st conference that spans nationwide, from NYC to LA, would be. It would be on-brand for the executive Chicago offices to blow all the free hype and a week of free primo slot advertising on ESPN morning shows for a week. Greasy Tony doesn’t strike me as a strategic deep thinker, and this looks like his lone opportunity to leave his mark on the conference, as I don’t see him holding on to his job for long.

Serious about them adding 2 more schools within a couple years…watch.

So..B1G 18? My APTC 18 idea? Come on, we need some serious suggestions to send to Greasy Tony on a daily basis. We can’t let Chicago eff this up.

NCAA House Settlement has measures for NIL policing

  • Boosters — or any third-party entity or business, for that matter — are expressly prohibited from striking NIL deals with athletes unless they can prove the agreements are genuine with rates that align with “similarly situated individuals with comparable NIL value” who are not players at that school, the settlement reads.
  • All third-party NIL deals of a $600 value or more must be approved by a newly created clearinghouse that is expected to vet the agreements for authenticity by using fair market value standards. For those deals not approved, the NCAA, conferences and/or a new third-party enforcement entity has authority to deem athletes ineligible and/or to fine schools for violations, as they do now.
  • However, unlike now, those punishments can be appealed to an agreed-upon neutral arbitrator. The arbitration process, according to the settlement, is designed to be a more accelerated and neutral procedure than the NCAA’s current infractions situation, where committees of school representatives determine matters. The arbitrator must rule within 45 days of the beginning of the arbitration process, but an extension is possible. The arbitrator’s ruling is “final and binding,” according to the settlement.
  • During arbitration, enforcement penalties — for instance, a player ruled ineligible — will be stayed until a ruling. Arbitrators have the power to request the production of documents and witness testimony. It’s unclear if that entails subpoena power.

The reason sign gate was a big deal was:

The real opportunity for the NCAA, B1G and OSU to get rid of Jim Harbaugh from the college game and especially from Michigan. If a true investigation was actually performed, there were a small number of those at Michigan who wanted Jim gone as well. You can take that to the bank.

This is my response to the OSU letter which is a flupping joke. Any neanderthal can see through that crap.

Football Michigan HC Sherrone Moore: RB Kalel Mullings will be a 'force' this season

"He's going to have a great year. Watch him last year, every time he came in he had an explosive play, a big play, runs over somebody, makes somebody miss."

With Donovan Edwards coming into the season as the lead back in the post Blake Corum era, the Wolverines will need players behind him to step up and make plays as well.

Head coach Sherrone Moore is confident Kalel Mullings can be that guy and is excited about the depth of the position group as a whole.
