Posted this in another thread but it's gotten buried.

The DL went from four very good years from 2015 to 2018, but it could fall off a cliff here. The 2017 recruiting class was supposed to replenish the talent lost after these peak years. In total, 7 recruits were brought in. However, we've lost the following guys to transfer:
  • Aubrey Soloman, 5 Star
  • Corey Malone Hatcher, 4 Star (medical)
  • Deron Irving Bey, 3 Star (4 star on TOS)
To make matters more difficult, we moved the following players from that class to OL:
  • James Hudson, 4 Star DE (now off the team)
  • Phil Paea, 3 Star DT
THAT'S FIVE DL RECRUITS GONE FROM THE DL!!!

To make matters worse, the 2018 recruiting class only had 3 DL in it, with none of them being DT's.

Logically, Paea will move back to DT. This leaves just Kwitty Paye as the only recruit from that class with decent experience (and Villain being the other remaining player).

I have raised this in the past, but I think the DL has been the most poorly managed unit on the team from a recruiting, numbers and retainment standpoint. I think it might be time for GMatt to move on.
