    This isn't looking good. Getting swept at OSU is a horrible way to start B1G play. Sounds like Mann played well, and given the score tilt, *maybe* Saturday was better than Friday- but losses are losses. And we had a 3-5 BOTH nights. Ugh.

    Home and home split with Western. The team looked pretty darned good Friday- not great, but good. Mann was THE MAN, though. Saturday- given the games against Clarkson and Lake State on Saturday, you could see a second game of the week issue. Add that to the first road game of the season...

    Sweep of Lake State. Nice. Even a shutout. Although, the D isn't nearly as good as it should be. But that also means that Strauss Mann is playing really, really well. Nice to see the offense get some goals.

    Fun, but stressful at the end, that's for sure. The D has a lot of work to do- just too many times they don't control the puck or don't talk to each other. But what a fun offense.

    The season gets back going, again. Listening to what Mel had to say in preparation for this weekend, I'm betting Mann will get the net over Lavigne. Not sure why Haden is struggling withe puck, given how strong of a season he finished with. Unless is just hang over from the last goal he let...

    Not a great start....

    We've historically had issues with scoring early in the season- and they should at least do a better job preventing goals- going down by 2 that fast is a killer. And I suspect that we are going to have a goalie battle. Again. Not that we looked all that solid against Waterloo with a change.

    And it's not as if they looked *bad*. But the moments of good had a lot of missed opportunities. Pretty tough to see us lose when we are supposed to be good. And tough to see how tired the team looked after Mel told us that they are in the best condition....
