Busier than I expected, had some family stuff to deal with as well.

The number of Michigan players entering the Transfer Portal in this cycle seems alarming. But how many of them were the result of the requirement that the roster be reduced to 105 by the beginning of the 2025 season?

This longer entry window to the Portal is the one that would provide the greatest opportunity for players not invited back to find another team to play for. It’ll be tough this year because every Division I program is faced with the same 105 player roster cap. Over and above those who have exhausted their eligibility, there will be a lot of players who played their last game of college football in 2024.

With McCulley committing to Michigan tonight, not a huge shock to see Virgil headed elsewhere. He was linked to some big schools, so somewhat surprising Texas Tech gets him.

Rumored to have punched Coleman Hawkins in practice. Also rumored not to have been his first incident in practice. Word around Manhattan is he's going to be dismissed from the program.

A friend mentioned this to me as word of mouth / am not aware of anything I’ve read verbatim, but what I heard with the indirect citing of a Rivals article is that Michigan has started to recruit Ryder Lyons (top 2026 QB, BYU - Ole Miss - Bama - Oregon suitors, USC as the favorite).

Is there any smoke to this?
