Here it is Michigan seems to be doing it as well. It isn't happening as aggressively but it's happening on a level of some concern. College sports is no longer a student/athlete association, by no means. This is why there is being a push for Super Conferences, and a distance from the NCAA. They don't want to worry about academic standards for athletes, nor abide by any rules recruiting them.

Sad state of affairs sports fans. More to come....

None of the guys that have left early were on the radar as being 1 or even

2 years and out. Calipari goes out of his way to seek those that are more likely to go pro sooner rather than later.

It is different.

Over 20 sophomores are declaring - so why is "two and done" so much worse than "one and done" - neither are probably getting a degree.

Surfing the rivals pages and ran across this gem.

Goes out of his way to seek those that are more likely to go pro? Have you noticed that those are the 5-star men that everybody wants? Calipari just gets more of them than anyone else. What's he supposed to do? Not recruit them? Geesh, dude.

I think they should change the rule to be similar to college football (3 years) or not have a rule at all and let kids go right after high school. 1 year versus 2 years makes no difference, in either case the kids are not getting a degree. At least with 3 years you sorta force them to have some level of college education that they can go back and complete down the road.

You really think Cal or UK fans would not love to of had Davis, Mkg, Teague and other O.N.Ds for 2 or even better 3 years?

What does cal or UK benefit from a NC team with 3 Frosh starters leaving after their first year ?

Cal tells the kid Im not going to ask you to stay to benefit me or the school. If you can go 1st round you go.

Some of these kids do nothing until late in the season and make a good run in NCAA tourny. Then all of a sudden their name hits draft boards where it was not earlier in the year. Then you go why you can on a guarantee not a maybe and year later.

Huge difference in pay from a kid picked 15th and one picked 30th. Hell huge difference in a kid picked 15th and one picked 10th.

Gotta take the money , just have to.
