Not good enough. Our defense recoverd one fumble this year, special teams one other. Defense had 9 turnovers, one on a hail mary. Special teams created 1. You should almost have more than that by accident. Gotta change.

Yeah that has been a big issue the past 2-3 years. As a defense you have to create turnovers and we have not been coached on how to do so. Every QB that plays against Michigan looks brilliant and ball security. That absolutely has to change next year. We also had about 7-8 INTs that we should have had that were dropped. Agree though, you need to create turnovers and while our defense was great against Pro-style teams we really still are bad in that area.

"26 seconds" Mattison hated creating turnovers, too, for some reason. Other teams can do this, for some reason we don't.
