Think Weber is happy with his decision?*

Think Wilcher is happy with TUOS now? *

Couldn't Weber change his mind and enroll at UofM and sit out a year......same thing as Redshirt
then hit the field next Spring with another 10 or 15 lbs of muscle and a year of maturity under his belt?
Makes sense to me......

I do understand how Weber could be shocked and disappointed, and if he chose to transfer I would certainly understand.

Hopefully he chose to go to OSU for reasons beyond the assistant coach as Drayton was very likely to leave within the next couple of years anyway.

If that's true, then why would Drayton not tell recruits he was leaving?

Why would the news only come out immediately after the players had signed their letters of intent?

Hmm, I wonder why that is. Sheesh.

Re: If that's true, then why would Drayton not tell recruits he was leaving?

michigan folks are the kings of "You commit to the school, not the coach." At least until they can say something bad about Ohio State.

No hypocrisy here, my friend

I'm proposing an NCAA change that would affect Michigan and OSU equally.

In my opinion, if fans want college football to continue the way it has, the less it looks like athletes are being exploited, the better.

Then why is Weber so pissed off? read it

Detroit - Wednesday wasn't an overly happy day for Mike Weber, who admitted he felt bad letting down Michigan.

Well, Thursday wasn't a great day, either, as the star Detroit Cass Tech running back learned his future running backs coach at Ohio State won't be his running backs coach, after all.

Reports started circulating early Thursday night that Stan Drayton is leaving Ohio State to join the NFL's Chicago Bears in the same capacity.

"I'm hurt as hell I ain't gone lie," Weber wrote on Twitter

DRAYTON WAS THE TIPPING POINT FOR WEBER, you know

Are you trying to deflect the slime ball move Meyer made here?

Because it WAS a slime ball move; there's no way around it.

Go BLUE. Always.

Why would any high school star player commit to a school because of an assistant coach ? We just hired a "home run" to replace Drayton - Tony Alford of N.D. BUT, I'll bet you any amount of money right now that he'll be gone in at the latest 4 years as he's already been in the mix for a few head coaching positions. The people "guiding" Weber fell short if they did not make him realize that assistants get up and leave programs at a minute's notice all of the time. I'm sure all of this will be a distant memory next January, though, when Weber is on the stage with the rest of his Buckeye teammates hoisting another NC trophy. Winning appeals to young high-school stars.

Oh, and BTW, didn't Harbaugh LIE to Weber when he said he would be the only running back signed in the class. Straight from Weber's mouth. He's never confirmed what was said between himself, Drayton, and Meyer but did confirm the Harbaugh lie. Why didn't Wilcher mention anything about it ? Why, because as an ex-UM player he's butt hurt over so many players leaving for UM's enemy (Webb, Alibi, Weber). Can you imagine the uproar in Ohio if ex-Glenville star players that OSU wanted badly like Ginn, Troy Smith, Whitner, C. Jones (the llist goes on and on) bolted for Michigan. That's Wilcher's real issue, isn't it ?

It was a slimeball move by Meyer and really cannot be defended otherwise. Urban knew the runningback coach, and main recruiter for Weber, was leaving but he purposely chose not to tell Weber so he could secure him as a recruit. A classy coach would have let him know his positional coach was leaving so he could make a well informed decision about his choice of colleges but Urban knew this would hurt his chances of landing him so he chose not to tell him. He really didn't have Weber's best interest at heart, only his own. It's as simple as that.

he purposely chose not to tell Weber so he could secure him as a recruit.

Kind of like Harbaugh did when he told Weber that he would be the only RB in the class, huh ?

Harbaugh told Weber he would be happy with one RB in his class but he certainly couldn't afford not to have any RB in the class so he took a kid on signing day that wanted to be part of the class. Was he supposed to wait for Weber and then possibly be left empty handed? If Weber had committed earlier he would have been the only RB in the class. I hope this isn't too difficult to figure out.

You're not even making sense here. Wait a minute, when has THAT

ever happened with a TUOS fan?
The other RB was a last minute flip when JH saw he wasn't getting Weber. Please tell us you're really not this lacking in basic intelligence.
