Ohio State names Kansas State transfer Will Howard starting QB: What it means for Buckeyes — The Athletic
Ohio State’s eight-month quarterback battle is officially over. On Thursday, coach Ryan Day announced that Kansas State transfer Will Howard will start when the Buckeyes open the season against Akron on Aug. 31. Howard beat out Devin Brown, who has now lost two consecutive quarterback battles.
It will be interesting to see how teams handle this offense early on in the season supposedly his legs and size make him a dual threat. He has a two to one TD to interception ratio, which isn’t terrific but apparently he’s a big runner that’s hard to bring down and somewhat elusive.
