All incoming U-M freshmen football players were scheduled to arrive in Ann Arbor last weekend and begin classes this week. All but one are listed in the school directory.

Camden, N.J. receiver Brad Hawkins is not listed, which may leave his status in doubt. Neither Michigan nor Hawkins responded to a request for comment.

Listed at 6-foot-1, 202 pounds, Hawkins is a four-star receiver and was planning to enroll with his high school teammate, Ron Johnson. Johnson said a few weeks ago that they have been working out together early in the mornings to prepare for Michigan.

Hawkins committed to U-M last Dec. 11 and signed on Feb. 3 with the other non-early enrollees.

Last week, he was named the male athlete of the year for the region by the Courier-Post.
