My son turned three yesterday, and I'm often surprised at what he's able to do at such a young age. And sometimes it's little things. For example, I'm completely surprised by the fact that he can peel a mandarin. He even knows to bite into it to get it started. I didn't teach him that and my wife didn't either.
I remember a year or so ago being surprised that he was able to figure out on his own that if he couldn't reach something, he could move a chair to stand on. Again, something he completely thought of on his own.
