Taking the family there in August and trying to decide where to stay...Pagosa Springs or up near Grand Junction. We like the outdoors and will do some day hiking. Looking for things to do - bike ride, rafting, day trips . I would like to get to either or both Black Canyon and/or Mesa Verde. Also, any idea how long 550 will be closed? I appreciate the help.
