Congrats to my cousin's wife, Marie Lozon! She's the first female Chief of Staff of the UM Health System.
I lived with her and my cousin the summer after my freshman year in college (1989). They were living on the south side of Chicago as she was doing her residency at the U of Chicago Hospital. She would often tell stories of what it was like to work delivering babies on the south side. So many sad stories of crack preemies, and them having veins so small, they couldn't even administer shots. One slightly humorous story...one lady gave birth to triplet boys, and had no idea what to name them, so she named them Boya, Boyb, and Boyc, as in Boy A, Boy B, and Boy C.
One of the smartest and coolest people I know. So happy for her.
