So looks like the Angels are releasing him, and based on his reaction to not being in today’s line up, it would appear this is a surprise to him.
The contract the Angels gave him was ridiculous. But the way they are handling this now is embarrassing. This guy has earned the ability to go out in front of the fans. If they felt he was no longer part of the plan, they should have discussed this with him, allowed him to retire and have a nice little trip through some ball parks for fans to give him the respect he has earned.
Maybe there is more to this, but watch the Cards sign him and do this right, and then watch him where a Cardinal hat into the HOF.
