Anyone have any experience flying with tennis rackets on Delta? As either carry on or personal item (doesn’t seem to fit this). Flying to see my son and trying to decide if easier to mail them (which is a pain) or take with me (they’re his rackets for future use, not for me while I’m there). I have read that they are allowed by TSA and it seems that passengers have had different results when attempting to carry on a flight-they are longer than the longest allowed side of carry on but it seems as if it’s sometimes allowed depending on the crew, prob cause it’s a flat bag that can lie on top of others. Advice? I am concerned if I check them the bag won’t give adequate protection.
