The two have obvious Sooner connections and I was told that a conversation about the RB job took place but I am not expecting much to come of it, to be honest.
Murray just received a contract extension through 2025 recently and is being paid over 600k. Money isn't the problem, though, as he's turned down multiple higher-paying offers, including one from USC, to stay in Norman.
From our Oklahoma sources, they wouldn't be surprised if the two did speak but the expectation is that Murray is perfectly happy in Oklahoma and the only way he'd leave the program is to get back into TV. He's doing this job for the love of being back involved in the game of football.
Either way, it's encouraging to see Moore swinging for the fences.
