I can't blame anyone except human shortcomings. Garbage happens. I don't know what to say.
You may have a point but UM wins the game 99,999 out of 10,000 times if there is 10 seconds left and has to punt the ball. I think they were so worried (rightfully so) about a punt return coverage that they couldn't imagine an experienced punter flubbing the snap and then doing what he did.
The ball was going toward the line so O'Neil had to realize it was going to be crowded. Dropping the ball was bad but even if he just swipes at the ball UM will probably only have to defend one more play.
A comedy of errors. Even when the MSU guy is running down the sideline...they had a chance to tackle him.
