Harbaugh is rocking it ... the recruiting bennies keep on piling up.

-- Detroit Lions defensive tackle is apparently still hanging out in the state of Michigan.

And on Thursday morning, he took a trip to Ann Arbor and visited Schembechler Hall -- the home of Michigan football.

Suh apparently spent part of the morning with former San Francisco 49ers coach-turned-Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The 28-year-old is the latest player to visit Schembechler Hall. Earlier this week, quarterbacks Bryce Petty had a throwing session in Ann Arbor and worked out with quarterback guru George Whitfield.

Brining in non michigan big names is a good idea when michigan alum are not available. It gives the illusion that michigan has been putting a lot of players in the NFL lately.

What is weak is michigan's drafted players vs their recruiting rankings over the past years.

JH is doing a pretty good job spinning that with still brining in NFL guys and NFL prospects that don't have ties to the university.

In the last 6 years, michigan has had 14 players drafted. Ohio State has had 29.

You're the one who is trying to spin positive PR into a negative

You really think any recruit is going to look at this story and think, "Wow, this really highlights how RichRod and Hoke didn't put many players into the NFL. No way am I going to Michigan now."???

And please fix your username. It's misspelled.

No, JH is using this story to cover up those issues. I'm complementing him on it. It's a smart move but he's the one pulling the spin job.

There is zero connection between those two things except in your mind

It looks like maybe you weren't trolling and are just, in fact, a dumbass. I apologize.

Please tell me what Jim Harbaugh has to do with the past 6-7 years at Michigan and why he would feel the need to cover something up. I'll hang up and listen.

JH, just like any football coach has to try sell the history of their current program (along with many other things). When the history is bad, like michigan's over the past decade, other things have to be done to to "cover it up" as you you put it.

Now you guys can continue your random mockery and not respond to anything i said.

Re: You're the one who is trying to spin positive PR into a negative

Well, we have a 3 time super bowl mvp, one of the best defensive backs in NFL history, a potential emerging star in Denard Robinson and the top rated Pass Rushing Productivity player in the NFL (Brandon Graham) all in the NFL, not to mention a few first round offensive tackles. Harbaugh coached the #1 pick in the draft (Luck) as well as a slew of other first and 2nd rounders (he coached 7 of them at Stanford), I don't think he's trying to cover up our lack of NFL players (compared to prior years), I think it's more that he's showing he has contacts and respect all over the NFL, which looks great to recruits.

Think about his pitch. Not only has he coached and won in college, he produced NFL talent while doing it. Then he coached and won in the NFL, so he has plenty of experience in the league, and plenty of contacts (scouts, etc). On top of that, he finished 3rd in the Heisman voting one year and had a long NFL career himself. He's "been there, done that" in every aspect of college and pro football, both playing and coaching. If you want to play for a coach who knows precisely what it takes to make it in this sport, who could you possibly rank higher than Harbaugh?

I don't see Harbaugh trying to cover anything up, especially trying to cover things up that he had no control over.

Graham
